More bad news as, while we were rescuing the Rehdans from the Romun fleet, the game's main villain has made his appearance and reveals that he's the one who had taken Isha. Despite Dogi and Ladoc's efforts, Commander Ernst manages to break the seal on the titular Ark of Napishtim and awaken it from its slumber while also unleashing a Galbalan that decimates the Romun fleet.

Fortunately, we still have time to complete a side quest that's made much easier in this version rather than having to run though every dungeon in the game again when we can just warp.
