In another example of how small the world is, we actually meet back up with Raba from the first Ys game. Turns out he's been living on Canaan Island for the past few years and has been studying the local ruins. After getting caught up with him and learning more about the area, he laments that his apprentice has gone missing near Grana-Vallis Mountain.

We know what we have to do, then... a sidequest that requires double backtracking!
