The game begins with a very gorgeous anime-style opening that gives a taste of the kind of quality of music we can expect while the story itself provides a recap of the fate of the planet Ra Ciela and the people on the transport ship Oriel (in this version's translation) in the absolutely endless search for a new home.

Cut to Delta, our apparent point-of-view character as he finds himself in an unknown place with his friend and partner, Casty, as we examine the basics of gameplay, learn a bit more about our playable characters, face off in our first battle, and get a rude awakening.
