Before we begin, let's go back and "measure" Elena for that Steam achievement. Now we can proceed.

Valestein Castle is easily the longest dungeon in the game and is broken up into four major segments that we'll tackle one at a time, starting with the East Wing. The main things to keep an eye out for are the Battle Armour upgrade, another Topaz, and plenty more Raval Ore. But one literal key factor is fulfilling Fran's request to learn what happened to Countess Elizabetha and her children.

No doubt the dialogue is different if you didn't do the quest to escort Christof earlier but, either way, Alice has a key item for us before we head back down to face off what is considered the hardest boss in the game.

As for those chimes we keep hearing? They're probably nothing.
