It's time to revisit the land of Felghana in this remake of Ys III. And, while it may begin with a rare instance of Adol not getting shipwrecked, we meet the main heroine right off the bat and get our battle tutorial in the form of saving her from monsters. Though it's really her fault for sneaking out of town past the eyes of the lone watchman.

Though Elena is the first to recognize Dogi after eight years, it takes his adoptive mother far less time to do so as we head up to the inn in Redmont for the night and have our only real break in the entire adventure right off the bat.
