Continuity and callbacks galore as we return to Minea, carve up some enemies for more levels, and deal with the first boss that's capable of inflicting instant death. Afterwards, we meet up with half the cast of Ys II and learn that both Lilia and her mother are missing.

On the plus side, we get a glimpse of how the ancient civilizations of Ys and Celceta were once connected so... hooray for lore dumps?
