Having learned that Oswald has not yet returned from his errand, Gwendolyn again decides to act on her own and follow him to the Fire Realm whereupon she learns even more about her previous consideration as another political tool between her father and the not-quite-as-scummy-as-Brigan-but-still-lustful Fire King Onyx.

It kind of makes for an awkward first impression to walk in and say, "Hey, I'm looking for my husband!" to the man who you'd been previously betrothed to.
