Yesterday I 100%'d Yoshi's Island, including the extra stages, which was no easy feat (I actually got a Game Over).

After that, I decided to play Darkwing Duck on Game Boy. It was kinda important I did, anyway. I had sold my original copy back in the day, and recently bought a used copy off the net. During one stormy night with power outages, I decided to play it on my Game Boy Pocket. I couldn't beat it, 'cause it kept crashing at random points in the game. So I played it on my Super Game Boy yesterday, to see whether it's a faulty game or faulty hardware. I guess my Game Boy Pocket is at fault, 'cause I beat it. How sad.

A few of us watched Ixzion play the NES version of the game the other day. If any of you are curious to see how different the handheld version is, I recorded my playthrough (no commentary).

Now that those two games are out of the way, I'm not sure what to play next. I'm thinking about Sonic 1, though. I wanna see if I can finally beat that dang water world.

You wanna know how hard Super Mario Kart is?

You wanna know how HARD Super Mario Kart is?

Then watch this video, especially starting 26 minutes in.

Thank goodness 150cc was the highest difficulty at the time.

Finally completed Darksiders 2 completely. Took a while since a lot of the cheevs involved doing a bunch of searching for hidden items. There were like 69 of one type of item, 70 of another, and around 8 other more rare ones. Had to use a video to sniff out the last few as there were no mini map indications on where they were. Nothing was like that in Darksiders 1, but it wasn't so bad. Still love the game. Can't wait for 3.

Since then I've been able to dump all my time into Dust. And so far, I love it. You can read my initial impression here. Since then it hasn't changed much. You pretty much start out with all the combat moves. You get new spells for Fidget, and more abilities that are mostly use to transverse the world. You know, kind of like Super Metroid. You walk across the world running across places you can't yet access. Once you get a new move, you can go back and further explore previous areas. Most these moves also have combat use as well. And I'm still catching video game references every now and then. Those are always nice.

Still haven't touched Last Story yet, but I'll get to it eventually.

Just finished streaming Blue Dragon for the last two hours. Had about 8 randoms join in. Duelpro was there for the beginning too.

I really missed BD. I should never have put it down halfway through two or three years ago.

I will definitely be streaming Borderlands 2 when it comes out.

You guys will be able to watch Ixzion, Shadowfox, Lantis, and myself play that for the next 100+ hours.

WAY TO GO LANTIS! YOU ARE AWESOME! Getting 100% in an adventure game like that is a really nice achievement!

I don't understand. What's the problem?

I didn't cure your butthurt with that? :lol

But seriously, good stuff. I've always been impressed with how you put away games, man. Far more patience than I'd have.

So, inbetween my last post and now, I played and beat Super Mario World with all 96 exits.

Now, I'm playing through Final Fantasy Legend III. It's the first game on my list that I've never beaten. Lantis has been watching me play. So far, I have already aquired the parts I need to time-travel to both the past and the future, and the future is where I am now. I haven't lost to any of the bosses, yet, which is impressive since I wound up beating a couple bosses while forgetting that I could learn Cure 2 by that point. Now, I'm about to go to some future town called Viper. I'm a little ahead of what I've uploaded, but if you like longplays (and don't mind that I didn't edit out any random encounters), here's the playlist.

I got Salvador to level 5 and unlocked Gunserker ability. Early, early, early impressions: this game is better.

I am to confront Sorceress Edea for the second time at the end of the second disc of Final Fantasy 8. I almost always take along Zell and Selphie as my wingmen for this fight and the one with Seifer that occurs just before. They have the best dialogue for this. Zell wants vengeance for the childhood he suffered at Seifer's hands, and Selphie deliberately misinterprets the snarkiness in Seifer's statement of how he wished they had spent more time together, by replying "Nah. You're not my type." Heh.

Meanwhile, at Lantis' crib, he's taking me on a tour through 3D Dot Game Heroes and Tales of Symphonia 2, the latter for the sole purpose of my irrational need to see just how truly unbearably annoying its main character is. ... And boy, was Lantis and ShadowFox ever right ->

I couldn't even discern right away that this was a guy when I first saw him. I mean, even Zidane I managed to figure out immediately was meant to be a guy. ... Zidane. What does even say about Emil?

You know, as soon as that imaged loaded, I kind of twitched just at the sight of him. Ugh. But yeah, SK always has been adamant about voicing his dislike for main characters that suck. And that's kind of why I've encouraged him to play Symphonia 2. Emil is by far the worst I've ever dealt with in my years of gaming. At first, he's this timid little wimpering panzy... and later in the game, he contracts this split personality thing and becomes a pompous asshat.

Anyways, I've already beaten Dust twice already. Absolutely loved that game. It is by far THE best inde game I've ever played. I'll just chalk it up to the list of classics that no one will every play. =/

As for now though, I've been playing Borderlands 2 with Ixzion and Myoky. We're level 24 and a good ways into the game. For an epic tale of awesomeness check this post.

I have just now beaten Final Fantasy Legend III for the first time. As I remembered, it's not a bad game. But nostalgia has blinded me somewhat, as the game is way outdated. On the flipside, it also has the most broken item I have ever seen in a video game: an armlet that, when used in battle, instantly kills almost any enemy, can be used by anybody, and has unlimited uses.

The ending of the game was slow-paced since you weren't allowed to speed up text, and it pulled a Final Fantasy IV on me, but otherwise, it was a surprisingly satisfying ending for a Game Boy game from 1991. I think I was a little over-prepared for the final boss, though. =P

Zidane is a BAWSH. "Oooh... soft." A lech after my own heart.

Since I was enjoying the Sony All-Stars game as Parappa, and his special is a nostalgia bomb from his game(I GOTTA BELIEVE!), I ended up playing through all of Um Jammer Lammy(both as Lammy and Parappa) as well as finally getting Parappa the Rapper on my PSP and completing that too. Such good games.

So Ix and I are on the cusp of level 50 in Borderlands 2. We're both mid-40's and we are getting some amazing loot. I picked up a rocket launcher with 90k (30k x3) base damage. And we've ran across several shields with close to 30k capacity. We just made it to Eridium Blight. I plan to try and farm on King Mong to try and get the rare rocket launcher drop.

Also been playing Resident Evil. Beaten the game once and I'm going back over it again in Professional with Ix. RE6 isn't really as good as I had hoped it was going to be.

I'm very tolerant when it comes to characters, but Emil.. oh gods I hated him. I think I even wished he was a mute character.

Torchlight 2: Haven't played it in a while. (or anything else for that matter) but I'll soon resume my Embermage's quest to.. uhh.. beat Act II? I'm looking forward to beating the game so I can be able to buy maps or whatever.

I've always liked those SaGa games. I wish I had them still, Legend III was the one that came with a map wasn't it? I remember liking the 2nd one better.

For me, I am going through Fallout again. Going side by side with playing through Borderlands 1 solo. Damn that takes forever- don't mind it though.

I have been streaming for the last 10 hours straight.

Mostly, I played Civilization IV with Myoky. We had a rough start a few times. Mostly he did. The Spanish Empire finished him off for the night. I'm about to play a round with Duel, if I don't pass out first.

I played PokeMMO for a while last night. SUPER impressed!

Go get it. We shall play it TOGETHER!!!. Well, not in a party together, but in a world populated by all online trainers that you can chat with (the chat is very well made too with plenty of filters) and who you can battle with, and of course trade with!

You can even have any of your pokemon follow you around the world increasing their happiness. Night/day works, but isn't fully implemented graphically.

There is only one server but you can change channels which means, all players on channel one can see and interact with each other but not with those on channels 2, 3, 4, etc.

Amazing interface too! All the menus are windowed and you can have many open at once. It isn't so much an emulation of Pokemon as it is an enhanced version MEANT for PC.

The website and instructions are at:
pokemmo.eu

Super recommendation from me.

I'm not a big fan of the Pokemon series, but I need to at least check it out for the magcast. So I'll be messing around with it while waiting for Ix to get to a point where we can tie up RE6 and BL2.
