It is about time this topic was made.

I will be playing Borderlands 2 the day it comes out, one week from today. Unfortunately, I will to stop around 5pm to go to work.

Aside from getting together when ever we can, how about we try to make Friday night our regular time? I'm off Fridays and Saturdays.

I'll be playing as Salvador to start out.

As far as a regular time, Friday night is "fine", but I go to the gym regularly, which would mean I'd get in around 8:30-9:00. The bonus is that I could play a long time.

I'm fine with Friday night AND Saturday night, really.

Fridays and Saturdays are perfect for me. Though I regret to say that I have a friend from Savannah coming in for the weekend. I'm picking him up from the airport Thursday night and he'll be staying through the weekend.

Though to be fair, if he WASN'T coming down, my wife would be dragging me out of town for the weekend to a... whatever the thing you call people re-newing their vows. So I was kind of screwed either way.

Anyways, he's got family in town as well, so maybe he'll be visiting some of them that weekend.

Next week I'll be flying out to Utah on Thursday and will have no access to a PS3--I mean Xbox until the 25th, a Tuesday. So, there may not be a me playing for a bit. I don't know the characters, so I'll just grab whoever's left.

When we were rolling through BL1, we had two soldiers... so if you wanted to grab someone that is already being used, it won't be that big a deal.

Sucks that half of us are occupied the first weekend it's out.

I have it pre-ordered from Amazon. Usually, they get us release day, sometimes a day later.

Though, no idea of what class to play! I loved Soldier in the first game. So no clue right now.
Guess I'll try em first-hand.

3 hours until I get home, but I went to Gamestop on lunch break to pick it up AND a Season Pass.

I might jam some later tonight, solo or otherwise if possible. I pre-ordered from Amazon and it came today, and I should have the season pass since it was listed as a bonus.

NEW BUILD IDEA. Though I was poisoned by the player's guide, haha. Though, I do like how they think and made a couple adjustments. Can't wait til they get the skill tree calculator updated so you can share to places other than Facebook and Twitter.

What build are you running Ixz? I know people prefer to have at least one debuffer, and if that's the case, I can totally do the Gunpowder build I was making up too, haha. I love how you can switch skills easily in this game.

Anywho, I'm also excited since Axton's voice actor also voiced young Goten in DBZ. So cute!!

I also finally used some Gamestop Reward points. Got the Borderlands 2 Claptrap bag thingy and also a dogtag necklace. And, in a moment of sheer despair after a local Gamestop did have the Ultimate Loot Chest(Corporate GS were crappy and put it up on the website when a guy had to wait one day to pick it up, thankfully the employees realized it and told me it was a pre-order copy, glad for the guy that pre-ordered it)... and yeah, he did get to pick it up, which was awesome. After that, the only copies in my tri-state area were like, 1 in Louisville, 1 in Pikeville or whatever... just way too far.

So I paid a bit more for one online. Merry Christmas, me. THAT'S ALL YOU GET EVER. And so, it should arrive tomorrow. Is anyone here interested in Borderlands 2 and doesn't have a copy? I'd rather sell it to someone here for $35(it has just been opened, that's all), rather than trade that to Gamestop for store credit. That is, if that person doesn't have it yet, heh.

Come one... come all. Gather around and hear a tale. A tale of three brave adventures. A tale of a thrilling battle. A tale of loss of hope. A tale of surmounting the odds. A tale of victory. And a tale of how it was almost all lost. A tale... of us.

You see, we had just made it to the second slaughterhouse. It's the same thing as the Cirle of Duty in BL1. Five rounds to survive. Each stronger than the last. We had made it through four of them. With just as much victory as loss. We being round 5.... and TWO of us dropped in the first wave. Myoky and Ixzion (Siren and Comando) were killed and moved to a lookout window where all they could do is provide cover fire. And so I was alone. A lone Assassin to finish the first wave and go through four more.

BUT it seemed all was not lost. Myoky could phaselock enemies and revive me from up there. And Ixzion's turret would still fit through the bars in the window. And luckily that would agro most the enemies. I could use my Deception mode to drop any agro'd on me if I was able to find cover in time before it ran out. Also, I could run around while in Deception and pick up ammo... which is shared between players.

With several close calls, we made it to wave five. It had things that could easily flatten me by myself. Like the electric skags.... or the badass pyre thresher. And after an hour of what should have taken fifteen minute, we were at the end of wave 5 of round 5. You see, even in this very bad state to be trying to take on a slaughterhouse, we STILL managed to get the optional quest point for crit killing 25 enemies. And it was then that we realized something... there was still an enemy left. We could all see it on our mini-map, but it was.... stuck in the wall! We thought we had glitched the game and all was lost. We were going to have to quit. In desperation, I tried my grenades. They have a really nice radius and has a property to drag enemies to the center. And you know what? It worked! It pulled the enemy back... and blew it to dust. We won. We managed all five waves of the slaughterhouse in the Wildlife Exploitation Preserves with only one character in play. There was MUCH rejoicing.

This is all I have to add to what we did last night:

Words really cannot begin to tell the tale of the Natural Selection Annex Arena. Centuries from now, people will gather to hear the tale of how three brave warriors not only bested the odds, but in doing so, got 25 critical hit kills.

So... funny thing.

Remember the epic story we just told?

That was the Natural Selection Annex. In actuality, it is the pre-order bonus area called the Creature Slaughter Dome. I had no freakin' idea. I just thought it was part of a greater set of missions as we already did a bandit themed one. But that would explain why I got so much good loot from it. I guess that's even more evident since the item we got from it was Moxxi's rocket launcher...
