Kezu is a young man living in the poor region that is Torayu. Struggling to retain his independence from a large debt at Gerokin's Market, he starts simply looking for work and ends up find some unlikely allies to remove the nobles from Torayu and ending the absurd costs of living that had sent the region into poverty.
