Koharu was the only survivor of a raid on his village by Kitaki Oshi, the current ruler of the land. Kitaki Oshi captured him and forced him into slavery in the Banaar Mines.

One day, there was a horrific mining accident, of which he managed to survive. Barely alive, he was taken in by a kind family in Fallen Breeze, where he recuperated from his injuries. After a full recovery, he now sets off on a journey to end Kitaki Oshi's rule.
