Grab some waffles and some Cherry Pepsis, because we're going hunting! For whom you ask? Why, the big bad wolf named Gargantua, that's who.
Ok, seriously, this game has got to be one of the most insanely weird, yet funny games ever created on RPG Maker 2. Created by Robbotron Studios, this is a sequel to the RPG Maker 1 game that never got released (or so I've read), but not to worry, as the story is still understandable. Here is the review for Hippy Hunt 2, from Robbotron Studios.
Story: Robbie, and his gang of friends: Dean, Cloud, Josh, and more, are still in the hunt for Gargantua to stop him and his evil plan of ruling the world with his children.
Custom made visual effects in the form of any lethal fire arm possible: Pistols, Shotguns, RPG-7 (bazooka), chainsaws, and even an automatic! Other than the visual effects being used for weapons, they were also things like custom made fighter jets, projected images of a computer, and a Playstation 2 with a controller, attached to a TV set displaying the Character Model screen from RPG Maker 2. And lastly, the humor is really hilarious, though it definitely is not suitable for kids, so it's in the 'Mature' category.Square-ish maps were really the only downfall, that and the insanely mad amounts of level ups you would receive from boss battles (the whole leveling up process after a boss battle averaged at around 2 minutes!). The enemies varied from incredibly easy, to insanely hard; bad stat balancing.
Waffles, Pepsi products, and yeah, you heard me, Pepsi products. It also comes packed with very stunning and nicely made Visual Effects, such as the many guns that are in there. From pistols, to shotguns, bazookas, and even chainsaws, the visual effects never got old; nicely done.Cloud... How many games is he set for so far? Twenty... Thirty... More? I think it's time some one relieved him of his SOLDIER duties.
Fairly decent length for a game, and it had minimal bugs.Out of no where, a tree stand like 20 feet in mid air. It took awhile to see where this shadow was coming from, but with use of the camera, it was a tree some 20 odd feet in the air. Also, the characters dialogue was some what jumbled. And by that, I mean that they should have said 'well', rather than 'will'.
While it lacks custom made battles, and uber cool game play, it makes up with it's very funny humor and it's nicely done visual effects. The game never really got boring.Only problem here was a certain part in the game, where you walked a very long road. It was plain, bare, and boring, very boring. Other than that, the fun never got old.
Very fun game, very funny game, and visually awesome game; I advise anyone (whom is mature for some 'scenes' and 'words') to give this game a shot, even though it has the classical must-have-character Cloud in it. Very nice job from Robbotron Studios!
