Throughout the years of playing and using RPG Maker, I've come across some some games I've really liked. So, here's my top 5 games across all console RPG Makers!
5. DOOR: THE GAME
by Valkysas
*RPG Maker 1*
Even though this game was made to be purposely bad,
it still was fun to me. Moving around trying to find
the hidden door proved to be a great challenge. Though,
at the same time, it pissed me off. Fun and frustrating, yay!
4. Dynasty Project
by JLaCroix
*RPG Maker 1*
I'm mainly talking about the revival version here.
It had great graphics and an interesting story that I
can't remember. Yeah, it's been that long since I played this. My only pet peeve is that the revival version has a bad glitch that transports you to a high leveled area of the game. Instant death anyone?
3. Hippy Hunt 2
by bigfoot721
*RPG Maker 2*
This game's visuals is by far one of the best on RPGM2.
Packed with loads of action and funny dialogue, this gamedoes not fail to entertain. Though battle was fairly unbalanced making most fights really easy or ridiculously harder than hell.
2. Whispers in the Woods
by Vonwert
*RPG Maker 3*
Even with my gripes with RPG Maker 3, I can't deny that it's home to some really good games. Whispers in the Woods is a prime example. Mainly an adventure game, the game's story and visuals really pull you into the game! Vonwert proves to be a master of storytelling in this creepy horror mystery.
And my #1 favorite game on RPG Maker is...
1. Tales of Goblia?
by Doyleman
*RPG Maker 2*
A simple remake of the RPG Maker 1 example game, Doyleman adds in a whole new batch of awesome content. Add in the Tales of.. Battle System, new dialogue and RPG Maker's graphics and effects and you have yourself an awesome game. The game even had custom scripted A.I! What more could you want?
Well, this concludes my favorite RPG Maker games. As RPG Maker continues onward, I really look forward to the new games released by the community.
