Well its been a busy day for everyone, I managed to get a chance to preview Brock Nash or as many other members know him as Neonash777:, demo The Legend of Zelda: Triforce.

Previewer
What is different than your previous Zelda game?

Neonash777:
My first Zelda game was really my own rip off of Zelda. I love the series, but wanted to copy it so much I couldn't NOT call it a Zelda game. While this one is being more accurate to Zelda. Also my experience has come a long way, so I'm allowed to implement great improvements with game play and controls. With being more accurate to the series I mean. Classic enemies, weapons, story, link won't talk in this one, etc...

Previewer:
That sounds good.

Neonash777:
I already have like-likes and octoroks made

Previewer:
Question 2 What's Link's story for this excited game?

Neonash777:
Basically the 3 Triforce Goddesses, Din, Nayru, and Farore, have been kidnapped. And thus the world is now in chaos. Because Nayru's love is gone monsters have gone berserk invading towns and attacking. Because Din's Fire is gone the season's are in chaos. Because Farore's wind is gone the time/ages are also in chaos. Link is asked by Zelda to aid in restoring Hyrule back to peace. To do so he must collect all 3 pieces to the Triforce to save the Goddesses.

Previewer:
Your story has that Zelda feeling for the fans

Previewer:
I'm excited just from reading it.

Neonash777:
Not just the story and Zelda style to the game but game play as well will be greatly improved

Neonash777:
With some new tricks I discovered. I can one button program any button.

Neonash777:
That was complaint number one in my first Zelda game. All the attacks were like [] then another button.

Previewer:
Any button? Including the d-pad?

Neonash777:
Yes

Neonash777:
But I will leave that alone for controlling the movement

Neonash777:
In this one you get a menu to equip a weapon to [] and one to O

Neonash777:
Also a sword equipped

Neonash777:
And a simple start button will open the menu

Previewer:
That sounds impressive

Neonash777:
Also with it being my second generation ACBS there are some neat new effects that re now possible

Neonash777:
Enemies can be shot and pulled toward you with the hook shot

Neonash777:
Enemies can have status effects

Neonash777:
There's a jumping system that auto checks if you jumping onto an area you can legally jump on to

Neonash777:
And even pots can be attracted with the hook shot

Previewer:
That's really nice

Previewer:
Since you broken the greatest RPG maker 2 burden will you use this in your game?

Neonash777:

To an extent

Neonash777:
This is how I achieved the any button customization, but my 3rd generation ACBS title in works does this to an extreme level

Neonash777:
It has a combo system

Neonash777:
and technically infinite enemy count

Previewer:
Will this system be very different from the others?

Neonash777:
It is also now possible to execute any content only script whenever you want

Neonash777:
Therefore I ca have wind effects pushing on the party

Neonash777:
Or have a wall push in and crush them

Neonash777:
Of display a VFX on them at any time

Neonash777:
The system will be semi-different than my other ones

Neonash777:
Basically the battle system being combo based will be the major aspect

Neonash777:
The system uses event's built in variable to track hp and other info therefore I can place 20 of the same enemy event and they each keep track of their own data

Previewer:
Some of these ideas sound almost impossible in rm2, but you manage to break these limits.

Neonash777:
The way I damage enemies is a unique one as well

Neonash777:
I set two xy coordinates and each enemy event checks itself to see if it's in that area at the time of the attack

Neonash777:
I also keep track of if it's been damaged by that attack before so it doesn't happen twice etc...

Neonash777:
The only issue one would face with the Greatest Burdon Broken trick would be that you're forced to have the party in an invisible vehicle

Neonash777:
However I have an alternative hypothesized trick that may do away with this.

Neonash777:
My problem is I come up with all these tricks but am to lazy to test them. I had the Greatest Burdon trick thought of a LONG time ago. And not until recently tested it

Previewer:
Really, what tricks did you want to implement?

Neonash777:
Well like I stated above I think I have an alternative way to program any button and use any content scrip command when I please. It involves duplicating an event and removing the original to force a check of the page conditions to do an auto event.

Neonash777:
This would rid the force way of using a vehicle

Neonash777:
In the enter map script

Previewer:
That sounds like a better plan, one last question.

Previewer:
Once you finish this project what game do you plan to create?

Neonash777:
Well I currently have a few too many titles in progress. But it allows me flexibility so I can work on what I FEEL like working on. I have Zelda: Triforce, Shadow, 3rd Gen ACBS untitled game, and My MechaMage Movie.

Previewer:
I've played your demo in the past, it's very well done. The battle system and the jumping system are great.

Neonash777:
Thank You, unfortunately not all my features were in the teaser

Neonash777:
Like the hook shot didn't work on enemies at that time

Neonash777:
But the bombs are a definite improvement from Z: LA

Neonash777:
They actually are planted now and are timed to explode

Previewer:
The bombs were just like the original Zelda games.

Neonash777:
Yup

Previewer:
Well thank you for taking time out of your schedule to preview your demo. I can't wait for the full release of your game

Neonash777:
And thank you for taking the time to interview me. Have a nice night

Previewer:
You too

A good teaser!

This game sounds very promising. The story and feel of it is like a zelda game. The demo was fun to play. There wasn't much to do but the battle system has improved since the previous version. I know Zelda fans will love this game.

A new battle system, the greatest burdon broken included, and a classic zelda feel.
