Mustard is the the nastiest condiment ever. Ketchup all the way though...

So why would a mixture of Mayonnaise and ketchup be yellowish?
White + Red != Yellow.
I know garlic power does have a bit of a yellowish tone but still
White + Red + Yellow = light orange != yellow.

I would be curious to see the ingredient list for said item.

Hmm oddly enough it's known as Fry Sauce http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fry_sauce. I guess since it's 2 parts mayonnaise and one part ketchup (I believe 1000 Island is equal parts) with some lemon and garlic powder would explain the more yellowish color. Regular Fry Sauce look light orange though.

Seriously though, what's with all the mustard hate? The stuff is delicious on most foods. Where's the hate for onions and tomatoes?

Well, I just got a pic of that particular product, but mayoketchup (which most puertorricans believe we invented it) is supposed to be equal parts. Some just mix both condiments, some add garlic, olive oil, and I don't know what else.
And while we know what Thousand Island Dressing is (which I think is very popular here, mayoketchup is used mostly for "tostones" or fried platain, and other fried things (I guess that's why it's called fry sauce in other places)

Anyway, while I like Mayo and ketchup, I don't like them together.
Basically I like my burgers (or anythinf you can put condiments on) with only one of them, and nothing else (no salad either)

i use to eat toast with mustard on it...

then again that was a long time ago when i was a kid...

dunno what kind of taste buds i had then....


but anyway, i still like mustard.
