In this topic, I want you to air everything out about how you feel about the Mag.

How do you feel about its direction?
What makes you glad to be here? Or not?
What makes you hesistant to post?
What might stoke your interests?
What kind of pet projects might you want me to help you with (as far as resources go)?

No one will be banned or anything like that. And the HOF will make sure of that. Frankly, we need everyone to give everyone else (including me) hard medicine, if necessary.

2: Nice place to kill boredom.

3: Because I'm freaking Duel.

4: Better topics.

1. It's fine by me. But I'm not a very exigent person
2. The community, I guess. It's the only forum where I don't see everyone trying to kill each other for an opinion
3. Hmmm... possibly the feeling that there's a lack of interest for anything I might post? But I know (and hope) it's just me.
4. I don't know...
5. See 4.

1. Honestly the mag feels dead but then again I stop by once or so a month. This place pretty much need something to bring more users in.

2. Its relaxed

3. Lazines, other forums and the lack of females to argue with.

4. Thinking outside the box(forum wise), besides the new arcade that I just now noticed maybe there can be some type of online game that we could all play. Lan party

5. I don't think there are any you can possibly help me with.

1: I feel the mag is lossing it's purpose in a sense. I don't even know the excitment of a new mag issue being released. I don't think there has been any reviews/previews since I joined and only a few articals.

2: The mood is relaxed and people help when needed. The members do show some interest in projects which is nice, but mainly people come here just to chat. Not that theres anything wrong with that.

3: Nothing really, other then lack of interesting topics. Most of the new topics don't have much meaning. They are all to do with the spam hammer, so they are full of short posts, that don't interest me really. Again nothing wrong with that.

4: I guess more of what I put for 1. Maybe something more to do with the makers.

5: Nothing really comes to mind. If I think of something I'll add it.

I hope this helps you Ix

How do you feel about its direction?

Think of it this way. Ixzion separated himself from another community to make his own over 5 years ago, and I bet he didn't expect this kind of response. The direction is wonderful, in my opinion. We may not always get the traffic that the Pavilion has, but that does not reflect on the quality and direction of the site. That's from the heart.

What makes you glad to be here? Or not?

The members, for one. I may not respond to all of the topics like I did back in my spamming days, but whenever a member has something to say that catches my interest, I put in the effort to respond back with my own vernacular. The second thing keeping me here: the arcade! Ever since the arcade was implemented, I've tried to maintain my kingdom, and I really love competing with the other Magonians in the games, and though I may not get them all, it's still very fun to participate and play them.

What makes you hesistant to post?

Topic titles and subjects. If it does not suit my fancy, I may not post at all. I don't see why else there would be hesitances to post, unless someone is beefing with another person, or a debate topic gets out of hand.

What might stoke your interests?

Introduce more arcade games, Implement the mag with more exclusives, and honestly, we need to try out that three-letter exhance policy again, where every week, we migrate to other role-playing communities and post there, vice versa. Also, do you think we can implement some non-video game contests that I can participate in?

What kind of pet projects might you want me to help you with (as far as resources go)?

I'm working on my fourth Album, BNA, and you and my brother have not collaborated with me on a single track since "farewell" 2 years ago. How about you write some rhymes and answer one of the open collaborations on my soundclick site, eh?

1. I don't like the SPAM Hammer and never really follow any posts in it. Some topics would be better in Chat or Opinion but are presented as SPAM Hammer and therefore go in the wrong direction. I wish it wasn't around.

2. Glad: Accepting people for the most part.

Not glad:

Moderators who abuse there power (i.e. it's Ok for them to SPAM or go off topic, but not for those they criticize).

Superficial time waster topics (even outside Spam Hammer) like viral videos.

3. Having to guess whether or not a moderator will criticize my post.

Not wanting to bother with topics that 'talk about the weather'. I respect them, I just have no interest in posting in them. Been there, done that.

4. More info/interviews from Agetec/Enterbrain, etc. about the history of RPGMs and future plans.

5. Nothing presently.

How do you feel about its direction?
I feel like we've taken a step back. Granted, I haven't been here much in the past few months, but I have stalked the boards and noticed lack of RPG Maker Dev and the social forums are dead as a door nail (except spam hammer). Good conversation does not exist (or rarely does it) nor is the chat ever filled with people like it used to be. Don't wanna be alone in the chat? Go in and announce it on the boards. We lose members because things die quick.

What makes you glad to be here? Or not?
I've been here for years, so I can get away with a lot of stuff. lol, jk. I'm glad to be here for the fact that I've got people to talk to that will listen and I've known some of the mmembers for a while, so I can trust them with things. I'm not glad to be here because of the huge amount of spamming done by certain members. I'll admit, I spam some, but mostly for topic related humor, though I deviate from time to time.

What makes you hesistant to post?
People will more than likely overlook my posts as not being filled with anything important to the topic at hand. It's happened, though my boy Lambpiss does take notice when others do not. :)

What might stoke your interests?
If sh*t was happening throughout the community.

What kind of pet projects might you want me to help you with (as far as resources go)?
None really. I just check things out.

This place was like a really beautiful woman who you take home, and she bends over the counter and wiggles her ass at you, letting you know just where she wants it, and night after night that same scenario occurs, and then one day you come home drunk her with her, get her in the bed, go to shove it in her cunt, and she's got a hairy scrot and a bigger dick than you, and somehow after that the added extremity of the situation sours the relationship a bit.

1. Eh, I would have to agree about the spam hammer. It's fun, however I think it takes away from the rest of the sight.
IMO, I don't think we need a whole forum for spam. Maybe just go back to having an off topic thread placed in the chat forum.
I don't think there is enough talk about rpgmaker. We should make a forum about that and get rid of the hammer.

2. The people! Very warm friendly gamers that come visit the sight. :)

3. If I can't relate to a topic or not know enough about a topic I don't really say much. I kinda stay out of the video game thread for the most part. I only play a hand full of games that I like. So I can't really add to anything.

4. & 5. Stroking interests? Ok.. I need to ask something.

@ IX, What was your original idea of what you wanted the mag to be like?
And do you think we ended up going into left field at all?

I think Ix may have had a really good concept of what the mag should have been like and now where just grabbing at straws to keep it alive.

1. the site has become a site just for chatting, not for its original purpose of RPG Maker. Which is pretty bad.

2. The people that are here are what make me happy to be here. Though with some of them I think the opposite.

3. Walls of text... Bo, NLY, and sometimes people like KA and Lone.

4. Something that i could participate in and be happy to do.

5. No idea.

How do you feel about its direction?

I can't really say a whole lot here. Just gonna say that I think I like the direction the mag is heading, and I think it's going to be great.

Now don't get me wrong... I think where we're at currently sucks. (and yes I know I don't help the problem). Disinterest, lack of enthusiasm, whatever you want to call it seems to be permeating this forum. Badly.

What makes you glad to be here? Mostly the people and the effort I can see that certain people put into their projects. I like the ambiance at times, and I love the battles at times.

Or not? People whining honestly. Just get rid of the stupid spam hammer.... I don't really mind it. But I'm tired of hearing people b*tch about it. Maybe if it wasn't here they would get off their A and find something else to b*tch about.

And I'm not apologizing if that offended anyone. Cause it's only gonna offend you if it's true about you.

What makes you hesistant to post? Honestly right now I'm lurking like an ass because of my job...we're expanding as a company and I've been moved into an office with my boss. (he get's pissy if I f*ck around to much, and work time was mag time.)

What might stoke your interests?
Me getting back in the game. I honestly don't know what, besides me trying and there being more interesting activity that could get me interested. Sorry that that's vague.

What kind of pet projects might you want me to help you with (as far as resources go)? Lol..pay my way through design school?

One other thing I like about this place is that you are very reasonable. You chime in when you can but you don't micro-manage. I think you run the site very well.

I for one like the spam hammer... other than that, yeah there's little RM talk but I don't think its fair to say its the hammers fault. Its not like Amy is threatening to bash your skull in if you post anywhere else. In conclusion blame yourselves (and myself- this is all inclusive) not the hammer for the lack of RM talk.

How do you feel about its direction?
I think that having a place to sort of showcase games like the Mag is awesome. That, from what I understand was the intention at the outset. It would be cool if there were a new Maker out that would spark some interest in this aspect of the mag.

What makes you glad to be here?
I like the site and several of the people that I consider as friends.

Or not?
I don't really post much in areas that are non-RPG Maker related, so I don't hang out around here as much as I used to.

What makes you hesistant to post?
Usually when I come to the mag, it isn't just to hang out an scroll through threads. I come to check out the RPG Maker Workshop section, and if nothing there interests me, I head out. Occasionally I'll check out the Free Forum area, but not much.

What might stoke your interests?
More RPG Maker related activities/reviews/teasers/etc.

What kind of pet projects might you want me to help you with (as far as resources go)?
Thank you for offering, Ixzion. I can't think of anything right now though. :)

One pet project I might like help with is if there is a way to get the gamer card from the "Completed Works topic

http://www.rpgmmag.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5582

either in a special banner or with each Magonian profile.

I think this might add motivation to all those that also want this site to improve by continuing to be more RPGM related.

Is that possible?

I think I would be more able to link something like that from the main site account and have people import it into their profiles and whatnot.

But I am under a good amount of class stress. I will definitely look into this, though.
