Hello peoples..

I had a crazy February. As most of you may know.. My dads apartment has been broken into by cops looking for drugs. I spent the last past 3 weeks bagging up all there belongings and broken furniture.

They never came back.

We had 3 open houses so far. But no one seems to be interested. I'm guessing its the time of year. I had to repaint and carpet the hallway where the door got busted in. We threw out a bed that had brown poo smeared on the bottom of it. It was disgusting. :( Now the kitchen floor needs to be redone. There was stains all over it.

My dad is falling on hard times aswell. He don't know if he can afford his home on Longisland anymore nor the house here in PA hes renting. He says that he might have to sell both of them. He says "all you hear is doom and gloom on the news now adays. Prices are going out of control. Soon the world will be on welfare" :( He told me hes losing 10,000 each year because of credit card debt. And yes, this was the house we where thinking about having TAI put his computer store in. Everything is up in the air. We stopped our plans for the idea of a store last year when they told us that they may be moving up sooner then expected.

After hearing this depressing news the same day 3 days ago I got 5 bills in the mail. House Taxes $1400., Garbage bill $378. /2 years behind, Cable bill 261. And TAI student loan bill - 14,000.00 @ 200.00 a month to pay off. :o And something about this being a federal loan. So if he don't pay they can drain his assets. :| It's only for the next 9 years of our lives. With the way money is, it mine as well be the rest of our lives. :(
Along with the water, sewer, and power bill.

Yeah, we live with my Uncle. And Yes hes suppose to help with most of these bills. But he don't. Hes got a gambling problem like my grandfather did before he past away. That and he don't want to work more then he has to. Poor TAI is very stressed about needing to take over the bills. I thought about selling some things we own. But TAI has trouble with parting with things. sigh..
TAI told me he's going to go away for a whole week next month on business. I said.. why? can't I go? I don't want to be alone. Why must you go? He says because we really need the money. :( My stupid uncle. If my uncle would do his part around here TAI would not have to try so hard for money. :cry

My best friend Peter and Roxanne are having it hard aswell. There lease was up so the moved into an apartment that was not ready. They where spending hundreds of dollars in motel costs. finally the landlord said they can move in. The pipes where broken. They had no running water and they could not flush the toilet. They also found out they could not stay there. The fire inspector was coming in. They could only stay until the end of the month. They also wasted a month in storage costs for there belongings and truck rental. :(

On a lighter note. They came out to PA. And put a deposit on an apartment that's only 6 blocks from where I live now. They moved in last night. :) I'm happy that I live near my best friend again. I hope this will be the start of a fun summer at least.

Perhaps you could help by getting a aprt time job. That's what my mother does. She's been a full time parent her whole life, but after we grew up enough she found a job that she really likes, and the benefits are twofold, since she loves her job and gets paid to do it :D

Perhaps you could convince TAI to sell some stuff on ebay, and post links here. We could help, and personally I'm always looking to buy things from people.

I agree with 1ce.

It's unfortunate that you're going through some hard times, but getting a job might alleviate some of your financial pain and boredom.

Yeah, the job thing for my self... I have been thinking about it. I really have no way of getting back and forth from a job right now. TAI is working more hours then he ever did.

I worked for Pizza hut for over 2 years off and on, living on longIsland. I worked at one out here but I got fired over being a Newyork person trying to move in on PA turf and the girls I worked with hated me for it.

I could work at another Pizza Hut somewhere else. That's really the only job that I knew the ins and outs of. And out of all the fast food places I worked for. It was the slowest pace.

Part of me is also afraid that I might end up hurting my SSI case if I try. However my lawyer said "as long as I only work part time or full time under 3 months then there will not be a problem."

Most of my problems now a days are depression. It's really adding to the rest of my symptoms. But, I know I gave it my all when I worked my last jobs. My best was just not good enough for my last 20 something jobs. So I either kept getting fired over stupid things or quitting because I'm just so darn tired. One min my brain is all there and the next min I'm being yelled at for staring at a wall. :/

There's really nothing stopping me from bouncing around
to some different jobs now even if I don't keep them just to bring a few extra dollars in. But I know how it feels to be fired. Been fired 7 or 8 times. And each time feels like a relationship gone bad leaving me feeling worthless with pains in my chest. I don't miss that at all. And I'm not looking forward to being hurt again by strangers. :(

Sigh.. Part of me really wants to dive back in to help TAI.
And the other part of me justs wants to curl up and die.

Well, sitting around and moping about it isn't going to do anything. You're making excuses for why you don't want to get another job. You may not like something or how people treat you, but you need to get over that. I have my own personal problems with the people I go to school with and it's pretty unbearable, but I continue to go to class, learn, and do the things I need to do. You're just being lazy. If you really wanted to help out, you would find whatever means you could to get to your job. Stop making excuses and do something about your situation.

^Just do it anyway?

I guess I will give it another try. Even if it is only for a little while. It will clear up some bills for a short time anyways.

You gotta do what you can to survive, and you can't just let your husband break his back on his own while you sit at home.

Though it sucks ass, I'd suggest getting a job to help out with these insane bills. It's all a part of the game.

I'd suggest a retail job if you don't like fast food. You have more self-respect, and can perhaps move up the ranks.

I'm personally a lazy biotch, and I admit it. If I wasn't, I wouldn't put off getting a job until this summer. Not having transportation sucks, but it shouldn't take me all summer to get my license. Single-parent, single-car household- so no way to work until I do.

I realized I couldn't work while going to school full-time, it made my grades suffer. But- if I am not in school at the time I don't mind.
