So, thanks to insultobot (whose name I can't type in animproperly proper fashion) I have now a dexdrive, meaning I can get to play RPGM1 games (which oddly enough, I thought I got rid of, but didn't)
And I was wondering, which game(s) would you recommend?

Also, I know RPGM3 is by far the simplest one out there, but I'd really like to finish an upload an RPG, and now that I have a dexdrive, I could do it for RPGM1. Is the first one easier to handle than the second one?

Check out our reviews to find the cream of the crop, imo.

However, I know that Fu-Fu, Nano-bot, Crazy Skating, Dark Illusions, Jester's Hunt, Remote Control, and Spiteful Dead are just some of the games that are quite good.

Ah, I'm feeling a bit intimidated with the downloading thing. I have no idea how it works! :lol
(I tried downloading random save files from GameFAQs as a test, but I don't know how to even access them through the dexdrive. >_<
Is there a step by step guide to this? :lol

Don't forget "Cursed Desires" too!

Just unzip the file, and then go into the upload I believe button and pick the file you just unzipped. I would make sure to put sys on one mem card and sce on another if you can. And for mutiple sce and sys data, just swap cards back and forth.

Like Vonwert said, it's easy. Just unzip, then use dexdrive to open the file and put it on your card.

Download the zipped or rar'd file.

Extract the files where you want, it really doesn't matter.

Open up the Dexplorer.

Go to "Restore" and select one of the files you just extracted.

That's pretty much it. Once it's done, take the card and throw it in a console and play it. ^_^

As for guides... try these:

ive played a ridicules amount of rpg maker games and though many of them are considered low for scoring, most are good to try out. even still, if your looking for ideas or a bar to reach as far as production value then id suggest playing the top games. you may also want to try out the early rpg maker classics.

So restore is the magic button I've bene looking for! Thanks everyone!

Actually, I don't want only good games, I knew that people would recommend their own games, and I guess that's what I wanted (to know who did what, so I can try them)
It's funny how long I've been in here and I know so little of the RPGM aspect of RPM mag :lol

ANyway, I don't think I'll have enough time to play today, but I'll definite;y try one tomorrow! :D

Another question :\
How do I play a 2 memory card game? I mean, do I really need 2 memory cards or what? I know this sounds horribly nooby, but that describes me just perfectly.

When you load a game, it'll ask for the memory card you need. If you need two, just put one in each slot. It'll go ahead and grab the data of the second card when needed.

Ok, so I just load one file on each MC and I'm set?
What about those that need more than 2? (I'm annoying myself with all these questions!)

Whenever the game needs a memory card, and it's not in the slot, it'll tell you what card it needs. The name of the card will be listed in the dexplorer whenever you load up the card.

So you really can't go wrong.

Well, unless you are using a PS emulator or PS3, but that's probably not the case.

(Oh, and ask away. You aren't bothering anyone ^_^)

to add, the same can be done about pictures that some games have. when it asks for a certain picture you just go to your dexplorer (if your using rpg maker 1) and put the pictures on the one card and then insert it.

i think the order of data was system, scenario, then pictures.

It's actually different depending on whether you're starting a game or continuing. It always starts off with system, but whether it loads scenario or anime maker data first depends on what you're doing. Odd, yes.

Also, I recommend my game, Slayers' Reign. It's a demo, but a well-reviewed demo.

Thanks for the suggestions. I downloaded Return to Exia first, but I'm still at the very beginning. Not that I'm lacking interest, but all my RM time I'm spending it in making my own game. :blush
I guess I'll take a day to some demos (I will try Slayer's Reign, among others) since it might help me see some other things the softaware can do (Since I'm still a newb at RPG making :lol )

You won't get as many demos in as you may think. My demo is longer than some full games. :P
