I am very much stressed. I have one idea of a nice home and TAI has another idea of a nice home. And well... There's problems.
Take a look at the two pics below. None of these pics are my home. But one pic is what I would like. And the other pic is more what TAI likes. I'm sure theres lots of men out there who like what I like too. But.. Everyones tastes are different.

I hate homes that are like Pic 2. I'm more of a tech guy

Personally a good home should have a room of both. Unfortunetly I don't have the money for either.

Personally, I like pic 2 more. It is nicer looking and probably much more comfortable. That would be an excellent living room area. Oh, I also agree with Lausen... especially the lack of money part.

I chose pic 2 as the best example, but I have problems with both the pics. While I have no problem with the systems in one, I despise the display of the software library. It looks as pretentious, distracting, and cluttered as a book library. Even if it is not pretentious, it still shouts out to others too much, "Here is the set of other people's ideas that I consumed". Also, it looks like a college dorm with the wires everywhere, a lack of spatial balance in the room, etc.

Likewise, while cozy, pic two is also too cluttered. I'd have a hard time finding where to sit and which are the "good towels" and which are the towels we can "use".

I'd rather see something sleek, minimal, and ultra modern, which is fully functional, and which hides what the topic of conversation is "supposed to" be about.

I lean towards 2. I'd prefer to have cozy furniture and chairs in a well-lit area than some super tevelision and games.

that's nice and all... but last I heard, couches and such aren't HD compatable.
