However, as you can see, it's a freaking ripoff on some of those other games. If a game sucks, it shouldn't cost $5.

But you could say that inversely, as well, I guess.

I think it's likely up to us to make sure we get the best games.

I will say, though, that I would buy more VC games if the prices were $2 less per game. I'd have a near-full colleciton by now. But now I watch which games I get like a hawk, and I'm unlikely to buy. They lose money.

As I used to own a Wii:

I'm careful around most of the very-old looking games. But my favorite classics are the ones I immediately buy.

I love how emulators are automatically tagged as illegal. It's like they are trying to make you think that you can't have a single rom even if you have the hard copies of the games in question.

I've always wondered about that. If you look at it properly, ROMs are one helluva good invention designed for a helluva good purpose. The thing about consoles and hard copies of games is that they rely on physics to work, and will die eventually.
I personally don't have the patience nor the will to try to make my SNES work when I want to play it. It takes forever and about 10 reboots to read one single cartridge >.<

Hm, I think the Mag doesn't condone ROM talk though. I'll stop.
