While very pretty, not sure it was worth the $50 (personally). I am just about 30min into the campaign and while I can't say there is anything wrong with the game, I still haven't seen anything about it that makes me say its worth it while I am currently playing four other shooters. Granted they all have their own appeal and uniqueness within the genre, I still feel the purchase would have been more justifiable after a price drop. Or after I finish a few more of them. Anyone else have the game?

my computer commits harikiri anytime i even mention the game. what a concept, making a game that requires higher stats then any available computer on the market.

the only people who could possibly get the full experience of the game are those at microsoft, and i bet even they would have a hard time with all the lag and system burnout they would get.

id rather have a virus then play this game.

the game's minimum requirements are pretty damn low, actually.

the thing is, it's not a great game. it's an okay game, with great graphics. take out the high-end graphics, and you're left with a pretty shallow experience.

lol karr.

Evidently you don't shop around for comps very often.

What you said about the people at Microsoft having the only computers able to play this game at its best couldn't be any less true, even as an exaggeration.

i wish i had a money tree so i could fork over bags of bling for the latest room size supper computer. as valk said, the stats to initially play it are low but since the game itself isnt spectacular except for the graphics then there is no reason to play at minimum specs. to enjoy the game to the fullest you really need a pimped out computer with all the hallmarks of a rich turd. if doom 3 runs even a hint slower then immaculate perfidity then forget even seeing half the graphics of crysis. it wouldnt surprise me if the pics came up as white squares with red x's in them.

my computer is stone age old. it belongs in a museum. until i get my counterfeit operation up and running im going to have to settle for super inferior graphics and pathetically inadequate system design. ask my computer to do anything over playing d2 and it will go on strike.

if i had a good computer then id play it to salivate over the graphics. anyone wana pimp my comp?

I'm a 20 year old guy working for 10 bucks an hour, paying rent and all my own bills, and I can afford to buy a computer capable of things like Crysis at max settings. Why can't you?

It's just that the standard end canned market computer is just a sh*tty as it can get. (canned market is any computer that was completely assimbled under one company. Dell, HP, ect. It's like you just rip the lid of a can, and out plops your crappy computer)

If you just fly by walmart or bestbuy or something, and buy an insta-computer... don't expect to be able to do much.

No one can. It was tested, and CryTek admitted to it. it is impossible to play Crysis maxed out with current-gen hardware. It's going to be at least a year before it's possible.

Or at the very least, a custom one. Manufacturers who make individual parts will make better quality products than companies who make the whole kit and kabootle. And last I heard, most of the canned market companies refubish most of the parts they send out with their "new" computers.

I also didn't say anything about it running the game at 60fps. Being capable of and running flawlessly are two completely different things, and it was incredibly asinine of you to tell me its impossible when you clearly know its not.

Especially when the person you're telling DOES run the game at max settings.

I don't think he meant maxed out settings..I think he meant a combination of Maxed settings and max performance.

whats the point of maxing out the setting if the performance will be garbage? valk takes the win with the link.

I consider frame rate part of the "maxed settings" thing. I can run Crysis with everything set to very high as well, but I'd only get like 12 fps. with that frame rate, the game is unplayable.

for it to be truly maxed, I believe it should have everything set to very high, and run at 60fps.
