I really want to attempt an RPG, but honestly, I just don't think I like working with RPGM3.

I have RPGM1, which I loved dearly- it taught me switches somewhat, and was fun. I am just spoiled since I don't want to type in hours of text by controller.

I sold my copy of RPGM2 like a dolt. I was scared of how much there was to do. I don't quite like the chibi-esque graphics, but what does that matter if you make a good game. I really want to score a copy of this with the player's guide if I can one day.

And then there's RPG Maker XP. But I don't think that one is supported heavily here.:p

I have game ideas. I just need to find the time to work them out, and make them more full.

You know, I want game design to be my job. I should really make an RPGM game, for how long I've been around these communities, I've never even released a darn demo.

I think you're right about people raising the bar. I believe a lot of people get tiered of working on their game so they rush it just to be done. Though I haven't been apart of the pav or mag very long I have tried to do my part to keep the RPG making aspect alive.

I have played many and gave reviews on a few games now and I have helped playtest and give opinions. I personally believe we as game makers need to feed off of each others work and stride to make things better. That's how we will get better at making games.

I know for a fact my game would not be nearly as good if I didn't play other peoples. After playing a few I completely redid some of my maps. Also attention to detail could be improved. Even the smallest of sound effects can change the tone of a game.

I believe 08 can be a great year for the community so long as we all do our part to help it. There is a great line up of new games from respected members and new members seem to be having ideas as well. I guess 08 is going to be what we make it.

I think it is a good idea to work on short games as well as long games. Sure you cannot put everything you want into a short game but at least this allows you to complete a game without rushing it to be done. It also gives you momentum and it makes it more playable for the community.

I recommend both short and long games.

It's actually something I have been thinking about for awhile. At the pav almost all of my posts are to do with rpgm3, but most people just come to chat. Not that it's a bad thing. It's kind of funny I just put a line in my game that relates to this. "A cause is lost only if one allows it to be."

I'm trying to break the boundaries of RPG Maker like many people. Monster Football is a good example. Yet there's a limit on how far you can reach. I'm always trying to find new ideas and I think that is alright.

well i've been working on a maze based game for years now and it could end up being the hardest funniest rpg ever =P i'm constructing lv 56 and it's a labrinth that could take hours to complete but rest assured there is a stupid, funny, or threatening reason to complete each lv =)

i guess it's not a lost reason i'm here, i know why i came here in the first place but the reason i stay is a different reason i guess. It's amazing how we were first united for our simple like for rpgm =)
