I'm now playing Tales of Destiny again.

I've forgotten how much I love this game.

I have the channeling item too! I now know the exact location for it, since I played through that part again. Too bad I have no second player, I forgot how dumb the AI can be.

... Yup. For me, this was definitely one of the more fun RPG's to play through, aside from maybe Star Ocean 2 and 3.


The game's soundtrack was great (there were hardly any pieces of music that made me want to turn the volume down), and the only characters that I thought really sucked were [spoiler]Stahn, Rutee, Bruiser (what was the point of this guy even being in the story at all?), and, of course, one of the easiest main villains in RPG history, Kronos.[/spoiler]

Philia Felice and Mary Argent for the win, ... and that Dalis guy, too. ^_-


... I have to say, though, for the most part the boss battles could have been more challenging. I mean, something's got to be wrong if you can play through the entire game like I managed to and have a total character KO score of only 1 (Mary got axed during one of the fights early on in the game). Still, nearly every boss had a cool fighting style and was fun to fight, especially with a good and appropriate score playing in the background all the while.

I've only played Tales Of Synphonia. I'd love to try some of the other tales of games.

I own Tales of Destiny 1 and 2

I've never played any of them, since they belonged to my grandmother, and I never really bothered to try them.

Are they really as good as you guys say?

I would say at least Tales of Destiny 1 is excellent. I've never played 2, but I probably will one day.

The graphics aren't spectacular, but the battle system is original and very interactive as opposed to normal turn-based RPGs.

The story is very engrossing, as well.

This is one of my favorite game since i still owned my PS1 and now i'm playing it in my ePSXe. The graphics weren't really that great, still it was really fun.

And oh, Philia is just one of the best heroines ^^

Though, i'm waiting for the Tales of Destiny Remake. I've been seeing it lately at Gamespot and it looks really fun. I wonder if it will be released soon... i hope.

No, no friend. There is indeed a 3D-esque remake of Tales of Destiny on the PS2; however, it is Japan-only at the moment since Sony of America doesn't care about pixels.

Yeah, ToD for the win. I haven't played it through msyelf in years. SK, you feel like finding that channeling armor and going at it eventually? I think that would really be awesome. I remember trying to do combos by commanding the AI characters to do some moves while getting Stahn to do others...

Yeah, and about that ToD for PS2. It looks wonderful. I remember a video for it that was just to die for. I can't remember where I found it though... and youtube doesn't have the one I'm thinking of. Oh well. Enjoy the game Fay.
