I've playing some old (well, new to me) games on the Xbox for a few days, and when I start playing, the console loads the dta from the game, but since yesterday, it's unable to save. (It says saving, but when you go back to the file, it's actually not saved)
Has anyone had this problem before? I got the XBox from a relative that didn't want it anymore, so I don't know what they've done with it, or how old is it. And I want to keep playing SSX On tour

Sorry, never heard of that. Does this happen with all your XBOX games?

Hmm....That is weird, I've never had that problem. I had a similiar problem with the 360 and a copy of dead or Alive 4, but I think that was a software problem only, sorry, I wish I could help.

It's the same for other games. The console load the file when I start the game, and it supposedly it saves/auto saves successfully, the game always loads the previous save.
It can't load manually either
And I tried making a new profile in SSX On tour as a test, and it couldn't save it.

I tried searching the web for Xbox troubloshooting... didn't find anything oficiall about this, but I did found one or two similar question from other gamers and they told them to get a new hard drive. That sucks. I think I'll just get SSX for Ps2 or Gamecube.

Have you looked into any possible configurations on the dashboard. Maybe that would help. Also, maybe you can manage to get things working with a memory card?

Yeah, I forgot about the memory card deal
But to be honest, I know very little of the XBox. I've had it for a while, but it wasn't until a few days ago that I started using actively. (I don't even know what the dashboard is)
The weird thing is that we haven't touched any of the configuration, and there's apparently plenty of space in the hard drive.
I'll have to sit down and experiment with all the settings to see what can I do

Yeah, the dashboard is the section that has something like "Settings", "Memory", "Music", etc.

You get it simply by powering the system with no game in it. You can then look around to see if there is anything to configure.
