As of now, I have three months to complete a building project before the bank forecloses on it, I have about a month's worth of homeschool work to catch up on, and I am now taking part in the city's Christmas play.

Because of this, The God Gene's demo will be delayed at leas another month, if not two.

That's understandable. Good luck with all that.

It's deferred gratification. Having to wait 2 months longer to play The God Gene won't make me look forward to playing it any less, but it will probably have the opposite effect.

I understand, though. It's frustrating.

UPDATE: Well, the Christmas Play is over with as of yesterday (It ran for three whole weeks and got rave reviews, not bad for my first professional production, eh?) I should have more time to worry about the game now. It seems as though things are going alot smoother now that the general direction of the plot and how it relates to the game has been decided. I kinda meandered a bit at first, and because of a few changes there have had to be painful rewrites of parts, it slowed production down even more.

I should warn you that I am completely neurotic, and this is really messing with me sometimes. I really do want to get the demo out soon because I'll feel better about the game when I get some feedback on it, it helps me to be less neurotic about it when my work has been appreciated even though I think its a horrible pile of crap! (Not that I think its a horrible pile of crap, but again, I'm just a perfectionist)--See what I mean about being neurotic?
