At what Kajak said... All the news that reach your head are already part of you, since they did get through your mental filter for some reason.

Besides, watching news does (by no means at all) prevent you from bothering with 'your stuff', your interests. You have to balance the two. Excluding either side of the deal is very dangerous.

The news you watch today don't become useless tomorrow... your brain has the opportunity to work on the information, and analyze it. In a short while, what you see in the news (like what you read in a book or watch in a movie) becomes experience, and is later used as a base to analyze future experiences.
