Heh, you mean it's getting up to par? This isn't new for other next gen systems.

One thing that really needs to change is the controllers. If both my batteries get low, I can't play anymore... or I have to go find/buy new batteries to continue. Every other next gen console, you just hook a cord back up to the controller and continue while the controller recharges in your hand.

And no ethernet port, but wireless? It's not like you are walking around with your wii like it's a laptop. I mean, I'm sure some people would cry about a wire on the floor enough to make wireless avalible... but to not have the option for wired connectivity is just retarded.

The console is really lacking... but the games that play on said console are actually quite good. In fact, Resident Evil 4 (for an example) is best played on the Wii instead of PS2, Gamecube, and PC.

::edit::

I just bought component cables since I have an HDTV. And while the picture did get clearer... it got horribly pixelated. I did some looking around on the net and it's a common issue. The only sure fire way I saw it fixed was that you have to send it your wii. I went through and changed the resoultion of my TV made sure that my video settings were set for High Def... the works. But it still looked like crap. I'm not sure what they do to fix it... but it's definately not worth it. I just threw the composite cables back on.

I really am starting to wonder what you guys are seeing in this system. It's turning out like the gamecube.... only a few titles are what's keeping it afloat. Because it's definately not holding up it's own as a console. Apparently you DO get what you pay for...
