Yeah, Diet Pepsi seems to be really popular these days, where it used to be all about Diet Coke.

I don't like diet stuff. To me it don't taste the same. And If I'm going to pay money for something. I want it to taste like what it should taste like.

But thats just me.

I used to be the same way. Actually, I went with Sierra Mist. But while I was living with my cousin, he insisted on Diet Pepsi because it was healthier, and got me started on that. I got used to it, and now, regular Pepsi tastes too sweet.

That was the reason I was on coke for so long but my gf is a pepsi drinker and when you live with someone they tend to rub off. In fact now she plays Halo online and watches some cartoons like South Park and Drawn Together.

I don't understand why so many people seem to drink only one or the other. I love Dr. Pepper, Coke, Pepsi, RC, 7-UP, Canfield's Swiss Creme Soda, A&W, ...

It's ALL good. Even Jolt!

Mmmmmmmm........Cream Soda, now that is the nectar of the God's......after Dr. Pepper.

Diept Pepsi if I'm at home and am eating anything with meat sauce.

Any white soda if I'm in a restaurant, or eating barbeque-type food like burgurs and hotdogs.

Milk for most other foods.

Water, fruit juice/drink, or chocolate milk standalone.

Actually I rather like milk myself. I use to go through a gallon in 2 to 3 days. I've slacked off as of late though.

Pepsi is good, But I've been drinking Dew more often these days. >_>

I prefer Pepsi.
But my favorite soda, Sprite, is a Coke product.
Sierra Mist tastes too sweet.
On a side note, diet soda contains Aspartame, a chemical proven to cause cancer.

I never liked sprite, or Sierra mist. 7up is good.

But when it comes to these kind of drinks..

I find coke and pepsi leave grossness feeling on ones teeth. well actually i find coke does so more than pepsi... but i don't really drink either of them very much often tbh...

The only diet soda I like is Diet 7 up/Sprite. They taste almost equal to their non dietetic counterpart. I don't think we have Sierra Mist over here, is it's just not too popular...
Speaking about diet, I found out some months ago that there's Diet V8. Isn't a vegetable mix juice dietetic looking enough? Or am I missing something?

I read the ingredient list in pepsi and the ingredient list in coke.

The main difference? Citric Acid. Pepsi Has it and Coca~Cola does not.

However I think the differences run a bit deeper than that. I beleive pepsi uses less sacarrine in their drink and also uses more carbonation. This gives pepsi (I think anyway) a "crisper" Mouth-feel and lends itself to a cleaner finish. Coke on the other hand always seems too syrupy and flat. It also tends to leave a bizzare sticky film on my teeth. While there are those who say this gives the drink a "mellow smoothness," I counter that when it comes to Carbonated beverages "Mellow" and "Smooth" are not qualities that one should seek out. (Unless the drink in question is citrus or berry based, then a little less carbonation is a good thing).

I must say as well, that it is curious that I too have developed a taste for Diet Pepsi as of late. Because the drink contains a sugar substute, it has an even LESS sweet taste that allows the cola flavor to stand out. thisnk that given my above comments, this is a contributing factor in why most of us seem to like Diet Pepsi.
