You know? I saw that pic before, and didn't realized what was wrong with that . Maybe because someone at GAmeFAQs posted it as a fake pic, so I didn't pay it too much attention.

I'd of course caution everybody to remain skeptical. Who knows if it's real. Now that I think about it, that image of you-know-who looks very similar to his pose on one of his box arts. Actually, why beat around the bush? It's Sonic, and that's his exact pose from the cover of Sonic and the Secret Rings.

Now that you mentioned that, Samu's pose seems to be from Metroid Prime 3 (acording to someone).
And I just noticed that you can see a Melee pic in the back (I should know that backround. I used to have it as my desktop backround years ago.

Arrgh, I haven't checked the site for quite a while.

Before the My music update, I realized I haven't heard the LoZ: OoT medley. It was such a nostalgic blast, and with all the new music we'll apparently get per stage/series/whatever, I guess the nostalgic factor will go up even more! I LOVE so far LoZ Medly, Go KK Rider and Pokemon one (specially the evolution part!)

Ice Climbers are back!

Yep. I'm actually excited about that.
I've heard many people complain they should be cut, along with half some other original characters (which doesn't make sense, considering the want clones out and want more originals)
So this update is a TAKE THAT/IN YOUR FACE! update for the Ice Climbers haters.

I gladly welcome any returning characters, even if I didn't like them much

I'm more concered about others like Captain Falcon, Ness.

It's not a good game if Jigglypuff isn't there. She HAS to be in the game.

I'm feeling confident she/he/it will stay.
Jigglypuff, Ness and Capt. Falcon are not simply a random pokemon/psychic boy/racer&bounty hunter/ They are veteran Smashers!
I don't care how much people think there games arenot popular anymore, they belong to Smash now!
Of course, it's not up to me to keep them, so we shall have to wait and see...

Ness is a clever combatant. I'm enjoying these updates ^ ^

I'm telling you, Ness is out, Lucas is in... besides, the characters aren't based on how popular they are in America I don't think, I think it's more likely they are based on Japanese pulularity, in which case, a Mother character would likely never be cut, unless they were cutting clones, and Lucas came in.

But Ness is a Smash veteran! They can't remove him!
(Yes, I know they CAN if they wanted to)

I don't know how to explain it.. let's say you like Jigglypuff. She/he/it is your favorite Smash character. You don't really care how popular she/he/it is on the Pokemon games. You may not even care about pokemon games.
For the next sequel, you hear Jigglypuff will be gone. She/he/it is not a popular pokemon character anymore, and there are more popular pokemons out there.
Jigglypuff may not be a popular pokemon now, be she/he/it has been in every Smash game so far, She has a different kind of popularity now. She is a Smash favorite. She is a popular Smash character.

That's how I See Ness, and that's why I hope he stays.

Lucas? Who? He's not on the Smash site yet.

I'm not too worried if Jigglypuff isn't announced. Because in the last two games, she's been the first unlockable character.

Well, If Mother 3 had come out when it was supposed to, Ness wouldn't be a 'verteran smasher'... I just expect them to replace him with Lucas because: A. Lucas was planned to replace Ness in SSB:M, but Mother 3 was cancelled. and B. They are putting newer versions of characters in place of older versions, (OoT Link replaced with TP Link, Roy or Marth replaced with Ike.) and Lucas is basically the same exact character as Ness, except he is newer, and has a different appearance.

I also want Ness to stay, he's my main... But I'd much rather have Lucas than Ness. And besides, Lucas is '100% confirmed for brawl'.

( ' ' means that it's said by the same people that stated that the Franklin Badge was in SSB:B a few weeks before it's update.)

Online play is confirmed. But it looks like it's the usual Nintendo Wi-Fi fare.

Only form of chat is with short taunts. Only available against friends.
You're stuck with one mode if you play against random people.
Does not keep track of stats against random people.
Likely, you'll be pitted against people who are infinately better than you. If there's a handicap feature for online matches, I don't know about it or how it's going to work.
Lag. But that's gonna apply to any online game with such a large focus on split-second timing.
