I'm thinking of spending a hefty amount of money on classic games.(GB, SNES, NES,SEGA etc.)

I have a few games in mind, but what would you recommend?

anyway:

NES:
Silver Surfer, (You know you want to.) Crysalis, (sp?)

SNES:
FFIV, (4) Super Bomberman 1 and 2, Lufia 2, maybe Lufia 1, (not that good)

Sega:
Any of the first 3 Sonic games. (That includes Sonic 3 & Knuckles.)

Oh, I know one, How about..

SNES: Super Mario World...if you don't already have it. This is like the best game in the WORLD!!! Oh yeah, and some more...

SNES: Killer Instinct

SNES: Super Mario Allstars-This has secret levels from Super Mario Brothers, and has almost all the Mario games, with some enhanced graphics. Although I prefer the graphics from the NES myself. :)

Hmm...can't think of anymore good ones right now. :?

I would say get a Dreamcast for $30 and then track down Record of Lodoss War and Shenmue.
And if PS1 counts, Lunar 1&2, Saiyuki, FF Chronicles, FF Anthology, Dragon Warrior 7, Star Ocean 2, Castlevania: SotN

But for SNES- Chrono Trigger, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Kirby Dream Course, Kirby Superstar, Super Metroid

NES- Can't really recommend too much other than Mario and Cobra Triangle.

Genisis- Get Shining Force II. Best pre-PS1 game of all time. And of course the sonic series.

If you are going to get a Dreamcast then I agree that Shenmue is highly recommended. I would also include Power Stone 1 and 2 which are 2 player games (up to 4 players for Power Stone 2).

Good call Bo, I forgot those little gems.

I would also like to add Jade Cocoon. I could play that game over and over again.

NES: Super Mario Bros. Trilogy, Mega Man 1-6.

SNES: Mega Man X Trilogy, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Super Castlevania IV.

Genesis: Streets of Rage 2, Phantasy Star II and IV, Sonic the Hedgehog Trilogy, Sonic & Knuckles, Comix Zone.

Hope this helps!
