The script for Omega Crisis: Prelude to Chaos has been completed. This is a great landmark for me, because the series in completed now. Instead of the five games I had originally planned, the Omega Crisis series will span three games.

The games are
Prelude to Chaos (was originally intended as a prequel, but was reworked as the first game in the series)

Dawn of Oblivion (where my SN comes from, w00t w00t)

Demise of Faith

Some that have been following the script writing may remember that I had toyed with the idea of making PtC a party-game. Upon fleshing out the story and completing the script, I have decided against this, for it could not convey the true essence of the game.

I, like many others, had intended the games to be true epics spanning hundreds of hours when the idea first hit me. I have found that I could not keep with this goal without adding useless filler, so I have re-estimated the completion time for each game. Playing through the games bare-bones without sidequests should yield about this much playtime:

Prelude: 6-7 hours total
Dawn: 5-6 hours total
Demise: 7-8 hours total.

Overall, the series could be completed in around 20 hours if my estimates are correct.

Look for the Omega Crisis series, coming to RPG Maker 3.
