Renolds High is an ordinary school. It has ordinary classes, with ordinary lessons, taught by ordinary teachers, and attended by ordinary students. Like any High School, Renolds has its share of drama. Who did what and with who, where this person was with that person, what that person likes to do when their alone. But Renolds High and its ordinary students are about to stumble upon an extraordinary secret. Some times the rumors....become real.

Ok, this is a relatively straight forward rp, with a slight twist. Your character can be anyone involved with the school. A student, teacher, principal, lunch lady, janitor, doesn't matter to me. The grades are 8-12 unless you guys want to drop it a little lower.

This is the Sign Up/ Out of character thread. Post your character profiles here to sign up. I'll give the nod to make sure the profile's fine ( I don't foresee any problems but just in case there are new players please try to wait until I say ok to post just so there aren't any discrepancies.)

Character bios should run something along the lines of

Name:
Age:
Occupation: This is what you are at the school. If you're a student put any position you hold.
Description: (this should be a physical description...doesn't have to be incredibly detailed.)
Short Bio: Just tell a little about you character. A little background, maybe a little personality.

That should be about it. Now on to the rules of the game.

Game time will be relatively real time. I know we're spread over time zones, but just try to keep it in a general time frame...Like, right now it's 3:00 where I'm at so I'd keep it at a little afternoon. Just make sure you read previous posts and try not to jump around in time to much. Days will be progressive...so every day in real life is a new day in the game

For the purpose of time Renolds High goes to school all year around. We'll address holidays later

Posts don't have to be at the school or anything...after all we're playing the lives of our characters. Just try to not have your character leave the general town area of the rp. No flying to another country (and btw the country and area are generalized....make the area up as you want...just leave a country out.)

OK, the rp is basically just gonna be day to day life of our characters. Have free rain with creating npc's and relationships with them, but play fair with player characters, no modding.

Rumors are the exception. When the game starts one rumor will be sent to one player. The rumor will be about that player. No matter what the rumor is the player must act as if it is true. They can decide for themselves whether or not to tell anyone about it.

Whoever receives this first rumor, will have the ability to send one rumor to any other player. The rumor must be about the player receiving it. And the player must act as those it is true.

Each player that receives a rumor can send one and only one rumor to any other player. And so on and so forth.

Rumors must be sent from an anonymous account. Not the one you are using for this rp. If you send rumors from you're playing account it will give things away over time.

Name: Benjamin Parker
Age: 46
Occupation: 11th grade history teacher
Description: Mr. Parker is a wiry man of 6'3. His short brown hair is graying at the edges and has been for many years. It is suspected that he dyes his hair (and badly). He is almost always seen wearing a lab coat, which many young students have a tendency to wonder at. Anyone who knows him doesn't bother to ask.
Short Bio: Eccentric to say the least. Mr. Parker has an odd personality. At times he the most popular teacher and at others the most hated, but he's always one of the most talked about. Mr. Parker's class isn't what you would call easy, but he's not a nose to the grindstone kind of man. One interesting thing about Parker is his massive obsession with spiders. He has several pets’ spiders in his classroom.

Short Bio: Nature lover. Not so much that I'm an animal activist. I just enjoy taking a walk to enjoy the scenery. I also find it fun to create art in paint, just because everybody else is using some bigger program like photoshop or something. Most people don't really have the same interests as me, so I don't often hang out with the other girls. I do have a boyfriend, Ted, he's pretty nice.

Can I ask you a question? What do you mean about the time? Like, I may not be able to get on until the evening. Does that mean I should only act as though it's evening?

Occupation: Spanish Teacher (12th grade)
Description: Tall, thin, curly black hair w/ brown eyes.
Short Bio: Alastor was born in the US but he parents were both hispanic. He's grown up a bit under the racial sun. That being said, he's very outgoing and willing to meet anyone outside the hispanic commuinty. While he's still single, he loves his work as he finds the youth of today a very interesting creature, so to speak. He's worked at Renolds High for eight years now...

And try to keep it around the same time area....but you don't have to be exact...I don't think time will play to much of a role. But if anyone mentions something at like the start of school or something and you get on at like 8 that night don't act as if you're directly involved with it. But like if you get on in the evenings there's no reason not to do something around the end of school. After all we are spread out in times zones so we can't be exact.

Short Bio: I'm not really in to a lot of things. I often get made fun of because I'm one of the only kids at school that still doesn't have a girlfriend. But the only reason I don't have one is because I try to avoid stupid highschool drama. All in all, I'm just an avoider. An avoider of many stupid things and people.

Occupation: Junior

Description: Wears black glasses. 5'6". Black, messy, hair. A little overweight.

Bio: Hazuko is an anime-loving Otaku. He collects the normal and special edition anime DVDs. He wears shirts that relate to anime and has a huge collection of manga books. He's nice, but, will correct anyone who's wrong about manga or anime in a conversation. He visits a manga shop every saturday to shop for.....manga! He refuses to get a girlfriend cause its part of his "Shinobi Way". HE loves Naruto and has a crush on Tsunade(Naruto series)

Short Bio: Ryan is one of those rare people who manage to get grades between good and very good without studying a lot for them. He is very sarcastic and dry to people, not being particularly loved by his class. Actually, outside his small group of friends, Ryan is almost unknown in the school.

Hmm, just one thing.
Wouldn't it be better if the players could post a more detailed physical and habit description? I mean, what we've got here is kinda not much for initiating inter-player relationships. I just noticed that.
And (this one is obvious, but it is worth asking) we are supposed to play our characters based on the fact that they do not know about the thoughts and feelings and secrets of the other characters, right? Yeah, I said, it's obvious, but it's worth pointing it out. ^^

Hmmm, indeed Gnasher, some of that might be a good idea. I don't think to much more detail is needed. But a few more habits or things like hangout spots might be a good idea.

Yes, when interacting with players you should not think that you know how they feel or know their secrets. And since I don't think anyone knows the feelings or secrets of others yet I don't think it will be to hard.

THIS is the character I'll actually be roleplaying.

Name: Albert Carnell
Age: 31
Occupation: New 11th grade History Teacher.
Description: Carnell is an average man of 5'11 with a light tan and shoulder length chestnut hair. Pale blue eyes, a slightly larger than normal nose, and sharp cheekbones accent his face. He dresses rather casually, always in jeans (or rarely dressed down slacks) and a random t-shirt. A huge fan of wristbands and other assorted accessories, Carnell is often seen in a interesting combination of decorative items.
Bio: Carnell is a calm man. Slow to temper and discomfort, and quick to cheer and laughter. His philosophy in life is to just go with it, don't worry about it, and just do. He loves history (hence the history teaching job) and loves to read. A very fanciful man, he can often be found in libraries or other quite areas. Although he's a huge animal lover he's not overly fond of spiders.
