The dipthong 'ae' actually gets pronounced 'dehmon'.
Bumbling movie voice.

In any case, I'm a lion.

I didn't post the picture of what I ended up with, because I would rather no one else try to alter my so-called daemon :lol , but I will simply tell you that I ended up with the mouse named Thedra. Apparently, I am passive, modest, and fond of solitude.

This seems like it will be an interesting movie.

Omfwa?!

A rabbit? That's not near as cool...

Oh well.

*hops off chasing a carrot tied to a sick... that is probably being strung along by Regal*

I did a little poking around about the movie... I think I may give it a shot. I know it's geared towards a younger crowd, but what can I say? I never claimed to act my age. ^_^

it's based from a series of books by Philip Pullman, by the way. a trilogy; His Dark Materials.

very, very good books. i hugely doubt that the film will in any way compare. go read the books ^_^

Wouldn't surprise me. When has a move based on a book ever been as good as the book it was based on?

... Doesn't count. Both forms of media were bad. :lol

Admittedly, I didn't make it all the way through the book, and I will hand it to Jack Nicolson for coming up with one of the most timeless film quotes in the history of movies, ... but I digress.

Enough said... I didn't know there was a book series.

*starts looking*

^___^ yaay.

i really meant it, they're amongst the best books i've ever read. Lantis wins.

the first one, perhaps unsurprisingly, is the golden compass. the other two are the subtle knife and the amber spyglass, i think in that order. the name of the trilogy is His Dark Materials. ^^

This might actually be the perfect timing for me to read them as I am waiting for the final book in the Inheritance series.

Holy crap, inexpensiveness *buys*

...stupid S&H.

I side quite well with SK on the fact that there hasn't been a single movie out that has ever done the book justice. The closest, I would have to say is LOTR.

Anyway, I'm sure these will be great... thanks for the ref.

Quite... but personally I'd prefer it being jacked than it dying a sad, lonely death. But that's even if you can consider the topic all that deviated.

The books don't seem to be too terribly long... not that that's a bad thing, par say... just an observation. But it will be great to be able to stand up in the movie and scream out an important plot twist minutes before it takes place. ^_^

hahaha... ^^

i'm looking forward to going to the 6th harry potter film, just so i can shout
'snape kills dumbledore'
, then leave ^_^

... i kinda... strongly dislike... those films, for no real reason.

i was kinda surprised to find they were making a film trilogy out of His Dark Materials, though. i mean... there's some parts of it that i... well, iunno how they're gonna represent it and make it convincing. and i'm not sure i'd want my imagined version of the story spoilt.

... i reckon they'll chop and change the plot -____-

... then again, i suppose it's a contemporary, bestselling fictional series, so there has to be a film series. it's like... an unwritten rule or something?

>_<;;

That rule must have been made after most of Drangonlance was already written. Though, seeing as the movies aren't usually up to par, I guess it's a blessing honestly.
