I didn't post the picture of what I ended up with, because I would rather no one else try to alter my so-called daemon , but I will simply tell you that I ended up with the mouse named Thedra. Apparently, I am passive, modest, and fond of solitude.

I did a little poking around about the movie... I think I may give it a shot. I know it's geared towards a younger crowd, but what can I say? I never claimed to act my age. ^_^

it's based from a series of books by Philip Pullman, by the way. a trilogy; His Dark Materials.

very, very good books. i hugely doubt that the film will in any way compare. go read the books ^_^

the first one, perhaps unsurprisingly, is the golden compass. the other two are the subtle knife and the amber spyglass, i think in that order. the name of the trilogy is His Dark Materials. ^^

This might actually be the perfect timing for me to read them as I am waiting for the final book in the Inheritance series.

I side quite well with SK on the fact that there hasn't been a single movie out that has ever done the book justice. The closest, I would have to say is LOTR.

Quite... but personally I'd prefer it being jacked than it dying a sad, lonely death. But that's even if you can consider the topic all that deviated.

The books don't seem to be too terribly long... not that that's a bad thing, par say... just an observation. But it will be great to be able to stand up in the movie and scream out an important plot twist minutes before it takes place. ^_^

i was kinda surprised to find they were making a film trilogy out of His Dark Materials, though. i mean... there's some parts of it that i... well, iunno how they're gonna represent it and make it convincing. and i'm not sure i'd want my imagined version of the story spoilt.

That rule must have been made after most of Drangonlance was already written. Though, seeing as the movies aren't usually up to par, I guess it's a blessing honestly.
