Well, because of the sub categories in chat I really don't see a need for this part of the forums anymore. I think stuff like this would fit in the "everyday" forums. But thats just what I think.

Yes, Regal. Like, no one was in the chat yesterday, hardly anyone posted yesterday... there have been almost no posts today... honestly, we get more than this on "dead" days.

Well, I know I been outside digging in my yard. I have a truck load of soil thats coming tomorrow. Maybe others are out because of the nice days where having.

I think the slow down is likely due to all those people in college who have finals and such right about now, so they're all busy. Meaning like 60% or so of the site.

I kinda agree with Kratos. The forums aren't quite as active as they used to be in times past, but I don't think the situation is that bad for us to call it 'dead'.
Perhaps TTC's 'academical' response is true, perhaps the place is just naturally, slowly dying.
In either case, it is our duty (the people that come here) to liven it up. Come on people! Everyone should try their best. This is one helluva good place to come to, and we should make everything for it to stay so.

I was in the chat most of the weekend. All alone. For hours at a time.

In my case, at least, I had thee days over summer vacation (I finished School on Monday, started Summer classes today) followed by several days of LOOONG ASS shifts at Best Buy, and now I am back to my regular schedule.

It If the site is ever to "die," it will be because WE kill it. It will never just fizzle....the mag will go out with a BANG! (Assuming it were to ever "go out" at all, that is. And that won't be for a VERY VERY VERY long time.)

yeah i noticed there were barely any posts the other day.

it's getting to be summer, what can you expect? exams coming up, sun coming up, vacation coming up, i'm in uber clean out junk mode atm.. though i still come around to read all the posts if there are any eh....

yeah, i'd say 'atrophying' myself. but it'll end up the same way, unless we all jolly well roll our sleeves up and engineer some of that good old fashioned community spirit we all know and love, eh?

though i find the amount of rationalisation going on in this thread quite funny.

Me, Kajak, and SK were out and about this weekend, hence our absence.

But I agree for the most part. I'm on the Mag every day off and on from 8 in the morning till around 5. But I guess that 5 is when people start getting on, which would kind of explain why it seems so dead to me often.
