if nothing else it can generate a pretty wide topic, from living on ones own to planning to living on ones own to what we're gonna do when we finally do live on our owns.. or how much communication we have with the parents now that we are on our owns. *Shrug* not such a bad topic imho.

I would have guessed this topic meant 'Could you live if you had no contact with your parents or they both died?'

And, my answer to said question would be 'No'.

You mean to say, you would physically die if your parents were gone? Same question goes for anyone who says no.

Hate to say it, but many people live without their parents at ages younger than anyone here.

Nah, It wasn't the question I asked.

I obviously have to live without my parent often at school. Or else I'd not be able to take care of myself. She doesn't call but maybe once or twice a month, and it's usually not sugar sweet crap people picture when moms call their kids at college.

I could, but I would prefer not to live without my mom entirely, she rocks most of the time so I forgive her when she makes dumb mistakes and whatnot.

My dad however, don't get me started there. I have seen him in forever. Divorced, so.

I'm extremely close to both of my parents, however I can financially live without them.

If I had to I could live without them period, though it's not something I would look forward to. I'd be devastated if either of them died. But I don't think it would kill me.

I could do it if gas and housing were cheaper.

My parents cant seem to make the connection between the fact that I need to go to School now, and the fact that this requires me to have NO (or very little) work during the fall.

I mention it because they keep asking for me to find year round Full time employment. That's a great Idea, but would eat up to much of the time I'm spending on other (equally important) things

I'm living with out my folks now. But I still need to call the from time to time. I really do mis them. And I think like most of us.. I would be very heart broken when its there time to leave this world.
