I just picked this up today. Anybody here, be they Pavilionite or Magonian, familiar with it?

I recall playing the original Bust a Move a long time ago and loved it. For some reason, I never got around to getting the rest of the games. The Wii version is my first time actually OWNING a Bust a Move game.

So far, it's pretty good, and addictive. You shoot colored balls at a playfield and line up three colors in a row to make interesting chain reactions. This version makes good use of the Wii remote.

Plus, it's eight players!

Well, just a game recommendation I wanted to make.

EDIT: I don't think you can use the Classic Controller, even though it's printed in the manual. I tried to config it, but no dice. :( Majesco must be good at false advertising.

I have Super Bust-A-Move and I need to get the sequel.

I only have one question for you:
Does this version have fungila?

I'm not sure....I don't know who Funglia looks like :(

However, there's Bub and Bob, the evil looking Bub, a wolf guy, a tiger in a suit, a male and female ninja type and two anime girl sorceress-type characters. Oh, and there's also a hidden character, I think....not too sure.

The game has endless mode and some weird shooting mode that makes use of the Wiimote. It's kinda lame, though, but those are just my experiences.

Fungila is my new avatar, and my favorite character from that series.

Here is a better picture:

How's the multi-player?

I've played lots of Bust-a-Move, but never felt the need to own one. The quick-shot burst of play was more than enough.

How much was that? 30?

@Nixon: Oh that guy. Well, I can say he's not in this one. Sorry :( The multiplayer is supposed to be very fun though. Not sure how it would accommodate 8 players however.

@Ixzion: The Wii version I bought set me back $40. :( Oh, well....at least it wasn't $50.

Nope--it appears that the classic controller DOES NOT work with this game. Damn it!

Well, maybe there's something I overlooked, so I'll toy around with this again. I don't have a problem with the emo...I mean Wiimote (I almost said emote.).

So far I've cleared the first area.

I'll probably just stick with the PS2 sequel, until I can find a used copy of this. I love Super Bust-A-Move, but I got it used for $8.99. :lol
