This is one of my favorite Playstation games. I think the battle system is awesome, the storyline is interesting, the FMVs rock, and the music and in-game graphics are great.

So, has anyone else played it?

Oh, I did play it. I liked it. HAschel and Meru were my favorite characters.
Also, it had one of the funniest video game commercials :D

I bought it for 10 bucks, and couldn't stomach it after about 3 hours. It was just soooooo boring and dull as far as story was concern.

The gameplay wasn't bad.

I got as far as some snake boss in a cave before I quit. Not because I didn't like it, of course. I just got distracted by another game, as usual. Still own it, still intend to give it another attempt sometime.

My biggest problem with it is the battle transition wipe. Why must it take so long?

I count it as one of the best ps1 rpg's. The only thing that irritated me was Rose's contraversial attack...

Yeah it was a pretty good game. To say it was a FF7 rip off might be a bit of an understatement, but it's battle system was certainly inventive, and a nice little deviation from the norm. The story was ok, nothing special. The cinemas were pretty damn good though.

So it's a solid RPG, with a fairly original attack mode. I think my favorite character was Lavitz, because he had crazy additions.

Their take on creationism sure is interesting, and Dragoons are cool.

Man, you need to stfu...seriously. Just because you don't have time to get to a game doesn't make it bad. I haven't got around to Twilight Princess yet. Or Xenosaga III, or Disgaea II, ect... but that doesn't make them bad.

So a big "durr" back at you, bud.

(Note: edited - apparently I'm a noob... nvm ^)

ANYWAY, I have Legend of Dragoon... and it's honestly one of the most overlooked RPG's ever. It's within my top ten best RPGs of all time, and I highly recomend it. One of it's better quaities is the inovative battle system... I really got into just normally attacking. ^^

Also, the storyline is quite well done. Alot better than some RPGs out today... Hopefully this thread will get SK to finally cave in and play it, as he's been playing around with the opiton to wedge that into his gaming schedule.

Also, I loved the soundtrack to LOD as well.

@ Vonwert & Dray - 3 hours out of a 25 + hour game isn't really giving it much of a chance... (I believe that snake fight is within the first 3 hours if I'm not mistaken)

I played it for a while. Dang thing locked up after what's her face with the water dragon, but it was pretty cool I guess. Albert (was that his name?) was my favorite. Can't remember the music or FMVs though

Yeah, like I said, I liked it, I just got distracted by another game. Happens all the time.

Heh, you and Kajak need to hang out... he has a pretty extensive list of incompleted games. The way he justifies it, however, is by saying he has beaten said game before, which releaves him from completed it again.

Whatever...

Anyway, I probably will play through it again soon, honestly... that is, after I finish the list of games I've already said I'm going to play through first. ^^

I'm rather fond of the game, mainly for the combat. The story is a bit mediocre and what-not... but it doesn't bother me much. Personally, my favorite character was Rose. She is bad ass!

How is it possible to beat the game under 50 hours? :o

The battle system is ok, I didn't beat the game. I find the story boring.
