Well, the coolest protagonists thread I had created a while back seemed to provoke a lot of discussion, so, why not also make a similar thread specifically for those characters whom are antagonists? And, they don't necessarily have to be the main villain / final boss types, either; just whoever you think made an ideal villain.

All right, here goes:

1. Magic Emperor Ghaleon (Lunar - Silver Star Story version); Lantis and Gnasher especially could have guessed that one, already.

2. Rufus Shinra (Final Fantasy VII)

1. Virgil(DMC 3)

2. Ghosts(Pac-man)

Well, I wouldn't normally have thought of that, but, ... I ... guess that would count as an antagonist. It's what prevents you from winning the game, right?

1. Dr. Eggman (Sonic The Hedgehog Series)
2. Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)
3. Those Stupid Lasers (Megaman 2; NES)

Luca Blight (Suikoden 2)
I was in a bit of arush, but now I can elaborate.
This guy was pretty evil. Sure, he might have childhood problems, but that doesn't justify how merciless he was. And the fact that [spoiler]3 full parties, 2 or shower of arrows and a one on one duel was almost not enough to kill him, and he was not even the lat boss [/spoiler]makes him in my opinion one of the best villains.

And these are not particularly deadly, but they rank high on my villain list just because they can SING! (The sad thing is that I really mean it)

I just think that guy is really awesome. Though his motives are every so slightly cliched... aslo he isn't the main antagonist, but he's still worth noting.

Cardinal Albert Simon(Shadow Hearts) - Great Villain

Kefka(FFVI) - Some people may not think he's that great, but I like him.

There are tons of great villains, I'd have to think harder to place them in any particular order.

Zant (Twighlight Princess)
And anyone else who can effectively mix evil with interpretive dance.

Zant is kind of cool, but I find [spoiler]weird how serious he was when you met him with the mask on, to find out he's a flamboyant lunatic clown when he takes it of.[/spoiler]
