[quote]On March 6, 2007, Warner Brothers announced that Linkin Park's long awaited third release, titled Minutes to Midnight, would be released Tuesday, May 15th in the United States, and Monday May 14th in all other countries.

The first single is to be released April 2nd, and is titled "What I've Done."

"We have put more into the new album than anything we have ever done before," says bassist Dave "Phoenix" Farrell. The band spent over 14 months in the studio and wrote more than 100 song demos in the making of Minutes to Midnight, an album which vocalist Mike Shinoda sees as, "a breakthrough in the development of the band's sound."

"This was a year-and-a-half long process of really hard work and experimentation in the studio that yielded about 150 rough songs," guitarist Brad Delson told Billboard.com. The band recorded 17 tracks and is now whittling down which ones will make the final cut. "Not only is this album incredibly diverse, but the depth of the material is really strong,â€

Yeah, Linkin Park is a pretty good band.

I hadn't heard anything about them for the past year or so until now.

TBH, I really wasn't impressed with their last album. As long as it ends up like Hybrid Theory or Meteora, it'll be just fine.

I LOVE Linkin Park! It's my favorite band PERIOD. I have Hybrid Theory and Metora on my iPod, and my favorites are In The End, Breaking the Habit, and Somewhere I Belong. Linkin Park kicks ass!

I really like Hybrid Theory. I'm very hesitant about this next one though. I didn't like anything they have done since. Time will tell. *crosses fingers*

O rly?

I thought Meteora was wonderful. Reanimation and that last one with Jay-Z.... not so much.

Also, I urge you to look for the Hybrid Theory EP.

Hybrid Theory was the name of their first album as a tribute to their original name. I'm not sure why they changed to to LP, not that it bothers me. But if you search for Hybrid Theory as the artist, I'm sure you'll find what I'm talking about.
