First scripted RMXP game! We got a screen:

If you can't see what it is, it:

Uses the map you were in as a Battleback.
Has a custom HUD.
Has a ATB system.

I don't know... I kind of liked it.

I have always like RPGs that don't cut screen into battles. The best example of this being Chrono Trigger.

Agreed. And when we thought everyone was tired of Dragon Questy first-persons... though the ABS makes up for it quite nicely.

Oh, I don't have a problem with the first-personness. I just find it odd that someone wanted battles to take place without a screen transition like in RPGM1. But I won't complain. Somehow makes it interesting when it's done on a tool that isn't made to have battles like that by default.
