So I was messing around with youtube the other day (yeah, youtube again folks, sorry=P) and I found out that my capoeira group does indeed has a video of our performance there. With a nice remix, even. I myself I wouldn't go for those songs, but meh, they're at least popular.

Let me know what you think =)
Oh and btw, if anyone wants to know anything about capoeira, feel free to ask me ^^

First off, I don't think this counts as a youtube thread as these videos are more personal that just, "ZOMG look what I found! It r teh coolness!!!"

Secondly, I think that capoeira is a beautiful style of martial arts. I took Tai Kwon Do back in the day, and it seems so much more stiff in comparrison.

Also, it's pretty damn fun to watch. ^^

Woot. I used to honestly just view Capoeira as an art form, not a martial arts, but a few years ago a saw some actually use Capoeira in a match. I've honestly never seen as much agility and mobility in any other figting style as I have in Capoeira. It was almost as if the dude had foresight or something.

Btw. The vids were quite good. I'd love to learn. But I have no-one nearby that could teach me.

Ain't it? ^^ Notice the part in the first vid when the teacher does some dodging with a 3-year old. I always laugh aloud at that part =P

By the way, the small guy often in darker clothes is my master. So he's the one doing the best stuff all the time. It's kinda ironic, knowing a 1,60m-tall guy who can jump above your eye level.

What I think it's good about those videos in special, is that it shows not the commercial capoeira, the one that's only jump-jump-jump. You can watch actual capoeira playing there, from kicks to jumps to groundwork and even dodges. Dodges are extremely rare to see well-done outside Brasil, because people 'out there' only want to know about jump-jump-jump.
