The game unit has a feature called Pictochat: Anyone with a Nintendo DS can send another DS user messages and sketches using Pictochat. This is not done over the internet, it's done directly.

Nintendo claims the range is 65 feet, but FOX 6 was able to send messages from one DS unit to another from more than 300 feet away.

In the owners manual and on its website, Nintendo warns parents to talk to their children about Pictochat to make sure they don't respond to messages from strangers, but FOX 6 found most parents don't even know Nintendo DS has this feature because they haven't read the manual.

It's a good reminder to all parents to make sure they read the owners manual to all the toys, games and computer programs their children use.

I can say that, right. Yes, I think I can.

Come on, people. Even if it can get a range of 300 feet, that's at the most, what, three, maybe four houses down the street? I would think that a molester wouldn't live so nearby to his target.

This isn't very appropirate at all... honestly. I really doubt any of us here have children. And even so, we all have plenty of DS's and wouldn't shun them from playing it when we do ourselves.
