I hope they put in an unbeatable mode....just for you Lantis. Lol.

It's a personal goal (not that anyone cares) to beat the Must Die modes in every title. And besides the first, that was two times through with each game. From what I hear 4 isn't going to be any diffrent. Nero and Dante FTW.

Seeing what that "Devil Bringer" can do, I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Actually, I've heard two rumors...

1) Dante is a playable character. So though he may not be the star, you still get to play with him.

2) There MIGHT be a co-op play. Which was possible in DMC3 if you had the Doppleganger style. This went well with Super Dante who had unlimited Devil Trigger. As long as you had a controller in port 2... the second player could press start and control dante's copy.

The first rumor is alot more likely to happen than the second... but hey, either way, I'm still drooling over the game.

Combo system is gonna be soooo better.

My friend would rather play Devil May Cry 3 than Mischief Makers. Should I even give him the title of 'friend'?

Devil May Cry is the best action game EVAR! And I'm not even a big action game fan. I'm more oriented towards RPGs... so yeah. Your "friend" rocks my socks.

Mischief Makers was okay, but slaying demons is far superior to... uh, shaking things.

I would really like to know the brand of that camera...

The idea of DMC never really got me. You go around slaying demons, with a story? It must be better than it sounds, because it's not something I've been interested in. Kinda like Legacy of Kain, but faster, I bet. Some big sweeping story and lots of battle.

Right? I've only watched my 'friend' play it. Although....since there's a collection, maybe I should try it.

Oh yeah... there's a story. A long and deep story. Here's my personally summary:

There was once a lenendary demon named Sparda. He fell in love with a human... and because of this, he lost his life denending the human race from the entire demon race. He battled the demon lord named Mundas who was hell bent on taking over the world. Soon after his death, there was a religious group formed namd the Order of the Swords who, after sparda, help slay what demonic forces remain on earth.

Not soon after Sparda's passing his love gave birth to two sons; Dante and Vergil. And while growing up, their mother was slain by some uknown demon (who still remains unkown in the seires). Before she passed away she gave each of her sons half of a whole pendant, which is the only momento that the two have left of their loving mother.

Vergil is now on a quest to gain the power of his father and stand up to his name. For what reason, the story doesn't say (typical generic bad guy reason I guess). He eventually met up with Arkham who was deep in the study of the Order of the Swords. Arkam was able to raise up the Temen-Ni-Gru... which was the final resting place of Sparda and the location in which he finally sealed the demon world from the human's.

Dante, seeing the Temen-Ni-Gru... searched out his brother. And through a feirce battle between the two, Dante was able to unlock his demonic powers that would futher bring him to the power of Sparda. Durring this time Arkam would eventually get Vergil to gain access to the demon world from the other half of the pendent that he stole from Dante. And there, at the entrance of the demon world was the Force Edge.... the very same sword that Sparda used to seal the demon world. With both the pendand and the sword, Arkham was able to unlock the power of Sparda... the same power in which Vergil has been seeking the entire time. Vergil and Dante joined up and fought the power of their father and were able to slay Arkam.

As Arkham died, each recovered their half of the pendant... and Vergil, the Force Edge. All Vergil needs now is the other half of the Pendant that Dante has to gain the power he has been ernestly wanted. So the brothers fight once again. And with Dante as the victor, he claims the Force Edge and leaves the Demon world. Vergil, however, stays as the demon world once again, is sealed. It is at this point where Vergil confronts Mundas, who is still alive.

Eventually, Dante gets to focus again on his vengance of his mother's death. And with a lead from Tricia, a woman who looks alot like his mother, leave for an island where demons are congregating. Here, Dante runs into Vergil, who has been twisted by the demonic powers... and again the brothers fight. Eventually, Dante recovers Vergil's half of the pendant and taps into Sparda's power seeing as he now has both the pendant and the Force Edge.

With the power of Sparda at his desposal, he battles Mundas who is trying to, once again, gain access to the human world. The battle ended with Dante's victory.

It is here that Dante then takes matters into his own hands, and he eventually slays all the members of the Order of the Sword. One of the members who survived is named Nero. Who, himself, has some form of demonic powers (to my knowledge, he is in no way related to Vergil or Dante). It is here that Devil May Cry 4 takes place, and I can't fill in any more detail.

But whatever happens in DMC4 happens, and eventually Dante finds his way and meets Lucia, and through their efforts, were able to gain access into the very heart of the demon's world.... Hell.

And that is where the story has stopped... right at the end of DMC2.

I hope Dante uses his badass coin again like in DMC 2

That coin had a grand total of like 2 minutes in DMC2... Not much badassness to it.

Honestly, what I would love more than anything else is to actually play as Sparda. And play through the original fight with Mundas. Find out what happend while seeing the birth of Dante and Vergil. And also see who killed their mother and why.

Ah. The fated questions that haunt all of us DMC players. Lantis. I think we'll actually get that chance and our questions answered somewhere around DMC16. Lol.

Actually, I hate my writing. I think a 6th grader could have done better. But that aside...

Yeah, I don't think we are actually going to find out. It would be like Capcom actually finishing the story for Resident Evil. Which, I doubt, will EVAR happen.

Would have been cool none the less, though.

I too am a huge fan of the series. I have beat every mode in every game so far. I just wish that DMC2 didn't.... let's say suck. There was practically no plot, along with some other flaws. Which made me rather sad and almost killed the series for me. Luckily DMC3 saved it.

I am eagerly waiting for DMC4 release. Should be bad ass!
