But to answer your question, facts. Simply because I can't go ahead with the game without SK's dialog. Seeing as each scene requires switches, I don't want to start getting them all mixed up. So if I make a dungeon and use switches 20-50 and go back in the game and use switches 51-55 on a scene before that dungeon... it'll be harder for me to track issues later. Or, at least it has been in the past.

With SK taking about 18 hours of college this semester... We it'll probably be a while before we update again.

Oh, and here's a scary thought. Come May I am moving out of Magnolia and to El Dorado. So me and SK won't be roomies anymore. So whenever we want to get together to work on Arc Arath, it'll take a half hour drive to do so.

My guess is that I'll just have to wait for him to do alot of text, then spend a weekend up there (or him down in El Dorado) and try to get caught up.

So I decided to take a look at my competition, I mean, my, uh, your, yeah, that. I played that.

I can tell you've got something worth watching for the moment the initial title popped up. And believe me, it's not often I say "that's cool" at the start of a game. Having extra features right from the start is even cooler, thus it was kinda disappointing when the trailer was unable to finish for whatever reason. Actually, as it turns out, after I finished the intro, it asked for scenario "SOE", yet the only scenario available in your demo are "INTRO" and "SOE3", so I couldn't really play beyond the intro. :(

So, so far as the game goes from what I was able to see, a couple spelling errors and a graphical error with the door at the hangout are pretty much the only problems I could see. Although the text sound takes a bit of getting used to, I don't think it's that big a deal. I did have to stare at the custom title screen for a minute, though. That thing is awesome. :tup

Yeah, we had an issue with the first and second demo. Scenartio 3 (SOE3) wasn't suppose to be there. And I think I missed putting a warning for the trailer that it wasn't finished.

Also, we ran across a few of the errors recently as we went over most of the scenarios and did some touch-up work. Anyway, I appriciate your input. Thanxxorz!

Well, I caught SK the other night working on Arc Arath some... so apparently I may be getting some work done here soon.

Another thing of significant notice is that I won't be SK's room mate anymore. I'll be moving to a town about 45 minutes (to an hour depending on slow ass drivers) away. It's currently where I work... I'm not entirely sure how that may or may not affect the progress of Arc Arath. But I believe SK is up for it... at least, last time I checked. ^^

Honestly, I don't think there will be produced any slower. SK's work takes alot longer to complete than mine. Also, my plate isn't as full in a schedule-type mannor. Any time he's got some scenes ready for me, I'll just drive over there (or him to my crib) and get things taken care of.

@ Dray - sorry for taking so long to play your demo. I'll be sure to get back to you on that soon. ^_^

2 months since the last update... you'd think we'd have alot done.

I wish...

Well, a little progress has been made. If you've been keeping up with SOE at all, you might remember that the game spans over two planets. We've finally started making progress on the just that.

This semester has really been restricting what SK can do... and to boot, he won't be around this summer. So, depresingly, I doubt SOE:AA will be going anywhere anytime soon.

Actually made a decent amount of progress. Well maybe not for a month, but progress none the less.

Also, we spent a good deal of time talking over some ideas. Remember back when we talked about a custom menu? That's going to be built upon. We are trying to get the story to bend to where 4 more people will be able to join the party, of which you can change as you see fit. Originally, it was going to be for just one part of the game as the scene called for the whole 8 people.

While this sounds like a good idea, it may cause battle to be hard to even out. If you use the same 4 people the whole time, the boss may be too easy. If you match the bosses stats to a party that used the same 4 the whole time and you changed them from time to time, their overall levels will be lower, and my cause the boss to be too hard.

But we said we will go with it if we can get a total of 8 party members in all.

Anyways... I won't be touching the game for a while. SK is out of state for the summer and has taken the game with him. I haven't spoke to him since so your guess is as good as mine as to how much has actually been typed out. He probably won't be back till the end of summer... so durring the down time I'll be working on other things and maybe try to get a video out for Arc Arath.

If this game is going to take 10 memory cards, does this mean one would have to own 10 memory cards? Or when one scenario is finished, would one be able to replace it with the next one? I am cursed with very few cards. ^_^;
