Lol..I said the most appealing thing was the battle system. I personally love the game to death. It's probably in my top 10. That should tell you how much I love the battle system

as far as protagonists go... *thinkthink* if any of you have played Skies of Arcadia, i always kinda liked Gilder. You only have him in the party for a short while, but he's pretty cool. Not as cool as Vincent Valentine, but in a similar theme.

er... *thinks* i liked Locke from FFVI too. He had some fairly good lines. ^_^

and Kratos Aurion from ToS. He's still the character i play as each and every time i play ToS, his battle style is the sh*t. Wheras Zelos'... [spoiler]his replacement for part of the game, after he betrays you and pretty much annihilates your party in the tower of Salvation unless you've levelled a lot or are just highly skilled/practised[/spoiler] is just sh*t.

besides, who's gonna argue with a guy who says 'Blame your fate', just after he totally pwned your ass?

I mean his motives were totally based of NOTHING. He had no real reason to be such a... well, male genetalia. His laugh was extredibly bad... granted it was SNES, but it was still bad none the less.

As for him being boring? Not so much. The dude had ADHD... that much has to be true.

LOl. I'm with Regal on the Kekfa bid. He was a fun annoying. Love Celes and Shadow from 6. Actually I love the entire cast from 6, since it's my second favorite Final Fantasy game.

@ Regal - Don't be so mad at Zelos lol. I loved Sheena btw. If you just used her technigues and not all the summon crap you could pwn with her. Girl was fast lol. But in all honesty I have to say the most bad ass character in ToS was Regal. Any man that can whip your tail with handcuffs on is the greatest. I play with him as soon as I get him lol.

@ Lantis - Guile is pretty awesome But I have to go with Harle, Nikki and Miki, and Glenn. Harle was just cute and cool. Nikki and Miki just made me laugh. And Glenn was just the sh*t with Surge! Dual Einlanzers for the win b*tches!!!!

Since thousand arms came up earlier I'll though in the main character from Azure Dreams. I think his name was Koh. He whooped for a little kid.

hehehe, id've said Regal... but since it's already my name, i figured i'd let it go ^_^

but YEAH. He was a weird character to use, i found that the only way i could use him without taking loads of damage from stupid sources was to mirage through the enemy and pound away at him with long combos, then mirage back and... scamper around kicking random people for TP. i basically couldn't mantain his fighting style for long without a high TP regen item and a black onyx ^^

sheena... no. i just can't like sheena. mostly cause her AI involves taking loads of damage then just... standing around till someone heals her. I figure its an incompatibility in my attack style and her AI. As it is, i get by fine with Kratos, Lloyd, Raine and Genis. We can cover the casters from attacks, and then they unleash ridiculous healing, damage and buffs. ^^

(i'll guiltily admit that... i do bind Sacrifice to a button quite often... then force Colette to die for the greater good. ROFL)

As for protagonists (because i am well aware of the Tales thread >_<)...

If i said Volke from the newest Fire Emblem on GC... well, i know it's a strategy game. But i totally love the guy. Would anyone else here know what i meant if i said i once got Lethality on a dragon with full health?

First I gotta say I never really had those problems with Regal and Sheena. Different play styles I guess. Lol. Poor little Presea didn't even get mentioned by either of us lol. And oh god I love saccing that stupid blood idiot lol. When I get bored I'll just get into a random fight and do it lol. Have to mention that while they weren't Protagonists Forcystus and Abyssion were freakin cool.

..... I hate you. How the hell did you get that to work against a dragon at full health. I can't get it to work on sh*t lol. Makes me so angry. Screw Volke lol. Shinon all the way. Shinon with an Adept = death on a very pointy stick shot from a bow lol.

And since we're on the Tales series Eternia was by far one of the best ones. Ras, Keele, and Farah all the way. Any game where the main girl fights fist to fist in combat is freakin awesome. Btw regal If you didn't know. Farah from Eternia is where they got a lot of Regal's moves from.

Yeah, i knew. You have to fight her, Meredy and Garr in the team exhibition matches final in Meltokio on ToS.

They're pretty good, too. Garr in particular is kickass. A sword AND a bow ftw.

and yeah... i think the % chance on lethality goes up whenever you charge him in on his own against overwhelming odds. it's th only way i can explain him taking a hit from a dragon (that damn near killed him) and then killing it in one, wiping out the next nearest enemy when it came for him, taking another two attacks he then dodged, and running the F*CK towards the rest of the guys. That wasn't the first time he'd done that (it was on the final level), but it was by far the most awesome. His luck is just ridiculous.

but if you want a really ridiculous character from that game, go for Stefan. The mentalist swordsman you unlock in the desert level (the one with all the laguz, right?)... or Devdad. Devdad looks terrible at first. Stick with him, and he just becomes this scary killing machine.

That comment reminds me. Breath of Fire 3 (my favorite of the series) Garr was freakin awesome. In fct the whole cast in general was pretty freakin kool. Peco and Rei were exception kool.
