... This story is one segment of a book I kinda sorta wrote about six or seven years ago. I don't remember much about the whole entire story - called "Legends of Frostenia" - except that it revolves around a country in the Arctic called Frostenia, and its highly varied race of creatures (half-cat/half-humans, elves, dragoneers, etc. etc.). This country basically is the world's forefront against demons of a planet way across the galaxy that have come to destroy the Earth. I can only post the few sections of Legends of Frostenia that I have because that is all that is left in existence (bad computer problems, and at that age I had no idea how to fix them).

You won't really be able to understand everything that's going on in the particular segment of the story that is being posted here, mainly because I don't remember, myself, but, nevertheless, I hope you find it enjoyable enough to read. ... One of the other things I managed to save from that computer crash was a list of the people in the story, both the Frostenians and the members of the demon race. For those that read this and wish to know a bit more about all of the characters, simply make a request and I will post that list, too.

(Regal, I at least expect *you* to read, since this was basically at your request! .... Um, please ....?)

i'm reading right now. ^.^;; you posted it while i was back home, and it only now occured to me that you might have done so and had it obscured by another thread...

viva la retarded delayed responses ^____________^

::Edit::

i figured i'd reply as soon as i could ^.^; though i apologise in advance if my hurrying reduces my eloquence.

i liked it. your writing is, as before, accessible. there wa a tendency towards the start, at least, to bulk up sentences with adjectives that might be unavoidable. i noticed at the start, but i think that it worked, i certrainly can't think off the top of my head of a better way to add imagery to a narrative. ^_^

there were certainly points i really liked, one usage of the word whimsical in particular painted a great image on the inside of my head ^_^ furthermore, i found that the more i read, the more drawn in i became. so perhaps while that clouded my appreciation of any possible suggestions i could make... *shrug* i think its a good thing.

(on another note, i wish that one day a character who skates on the brink of death would maybe NOT be saved by deus ex machina... rofl, not that i'm really complaining ^.^; )

i liked this. and yeah, i'm sorry i took so long to reply... and that i didn't say so much when i did.

... feel free to shout me if theres anything in particular you want me to elaborate on, its np ^_^

Thanks again for reading, Regal.

... And you're right about how cliched it was for the Princess to be saved from a clearly fatal wound by some miracle. I always complain about that very thing, myself; that way too many times a character in a fantasy-type story/movie/video game manages to narrowly escape death (even worse, oftentimes in multiple occurrences for the same character), provided that character is one of the "good guys." ... And yet, I did the exact same thing myself in this story.

wellllll

like i said, i wasn't really complaining. not only was it fairly well done and... assuming that the concept of the Southern Star held up in the other chapters, i really don't have a problem with the way you wrote that. in fact, i thought the way you managed to establish Kitty's survival without Harold knowing or even suspecting was pretty well done ^_^

it wasn't a genuine criticism, more of an afterthought. But yes. Deus Ex Machina is always slightly... preplexing.

^______^ i liked it. got any more?

XD

... As a matter of fact, I do.

Since no one else seems to have read this or the other fanfic, though, I may wait a little while before I post any other story. Actually, offhand, I think that there's only one other part of that whole Legends of Frostenia story I wrote oh so long ago that I still have stored in the back drawer of the ol' hard drive. ... I might post it soon, even if you end up being the only one who reads it, Regal. Even just having one fan is still pleasing to know.

... everyone starts out with one fan. then they get two.

from what i gather, Jay is also urging you to post this stuff.

it sounds like you have twice the fans you just estimated at. =P

its ok if you wait awhile. quite a bit is gonna be happening in this forum soon enough, anyway. But remember that i want to read it. ^_^;

It's a shame all was consumed by HD crash.

I had SK print me out all his work.... it was a few hundred pages wich wasn't double spaced and the font was slightly smaller than standard. And even after all was lost, somehow or another, the physical copy was lost as well.

I've always said you've had a knack for this kind of stuff... and apparently I was right. Who knows, maybe when you dad moves out of his old house, he may run across that old printed copy.
