It's because of those damn lectures.

I had to sit down for about 4 hours today listening to a long speech that was hardly interesting. I was godd for about 3 for those 4 hours, but after that things really started to drag on. I now remember why I hated school so much and why I did terrible at high school. Most of the time I just wanted to get out, but I couldn't.

I wanted to plan my super escape, like sneaking out the back door or removing the ventalation to the bathroom and crawling to freedom.

Oddly enough though, college has been totally different. It's great, with nice break times.

Maybe I wouldn't be so mad if we ended on time instead of 45 minutes later...god.

Well, that's the end of my rant for now. Peace.

Yeah, I agree totally. I hate being talked to for so long. I wanna get out there and put it into practice.

What good is knowledge without a ground to use it?

I think that's why I hatede Biology so much. I don't mind having to sit for a long time hearing somebody talk...
You know what? I do mind! But at least there are some profesors who try to make the class more interesting by involving the students. But then again, that wouldn't be a lecture, would it?

Well the lectures we have are usually funny and entertaining, by the teachers and some students.

Really?I find those lectures pretty useful, but there are subjects that i hated, like Math but apart from that all the subjects were interesting and was so much fun.For example history and biology.The two are my really favorite subjects ^^.

It's good that you find an interest in these things BQ, because it will help you learn the material and you'll enjoy doing it.

And most of the time college is a blast. If the teacher talks for a bit he gives us a break, so it's easier to absorb what he said and it helps me get ready to listen some more.

But god, remembering how terrible high school was....I'll never go back. I would go so far as to say I hope I never even meet anyone I knew in high school.
Then again, when I do, I just tell myself I am far superior to them in every way, so it's not so bad

Another school discussion? Very well, I shall more or less repeat myself.

School is hell. Half the guys in school were complete (or at least near-complete) jerks. The teachers were blind and didn't pay much attention to what was going on between students unless bloody noses were involved. Hatred burns in my heart every time I think about it. I wish I were capable of throwing a punch. At the same time I wish I had thought to make them throw punches, so they'd actually get in trouble.

I no longer have any friends from school. Aside from one girl who works at the same place as my mom, and one of the okay guys is already mayor in the next town, I couldn't tell you where any of them are right now, and I'm not even in touch with the two I do know about.

I actually miss the school work. I was lazy throughout the school year, usually making minimal effort and skipping a lot of homework. We needed 21 points to graduate at the time. I graduated with that amount. Only after school did I gain an interest in learning things. Many hours have been lost at Wikipedia. If only I had been so willing to learn stuff as I was in school. But don't tell my dad that. I told him that there was no way that I'd ever miss school. Technically, I still don't. I just regret putting such little effort into it.

... i was a hugely lazy and unfairly able student who scored slightly less than maximum marks throughout his educational career. I played a lot of poker. I won, on that note, a lot of poker.

My family has a history in teaching, in fact a history of teaching within the high school to which i went. My older sister, while (god bless her) adorably inept was rather expert at languages. It is i suspect a genetic thing, since i have something of a knack at reading languages myself. *shrug* but she was always an overachiever. I was always an underachiever, almost in response.

I never missed school except when ill, but i never really learnt much either. It was too valuable a stage for social interaction *shrug*

i put in a little effort towards the end of my final year and ended up at an only very slightly less than top university. *shrug* top ten or whatnot, allegedly. Where, of course, i continue to underachieve.

I've always been more the thinking on my feet type. I excel at doing other people's work for them.

I enjoyed school.
