I really hate it when I update and it changes pages on me. So for everyone's convenience:

I guess it would wise for me to throw in an update on game progress here to better keep everyone's interest, especially since the others really haven't been able to work on SOE themselves for a good three months because of my struggle to keep up with text for the storyline (without a USB keyboard, it is quite the pain in the bunny-girl butt).

... That's right, you heard me say "bunny-girl."

So, I just finished with the text for a scene about halfway through scenario eight, in which the heroes are running to save a village of Elvenians from being destroyed by a monster whom has a particular grudge against them, yet the heroes are stopped by a fearsome dragon in some abandoned mines that they are using as a shortcut to their destination. Not like this is really giving away any vital storyline information before you guys have a chance to actually play the game, so I just want to ask you all => how does the name "Elliot Bluebane" for a dragon sound?

Anyway, as of now I would say this puts me at about 60% of the text for the entire game being finished. Just one more year or so and we should have it!

... Hunh. If just hearing about that particular scene excites you, then there's quite a many more scenes in SOE more impressive than an argument with a dragon.

... I guess it was about time for another update.

After three straight days of nothing but SOE work, the text (... uhhh, I meant, storyline) has been *entirely* finished for scenarios seven and eight, and bit of nine. Now, once I come back in from out of town in a week or so, we must create all of the scenes for seven and eight. I got way ahead of the others on storyline, yes, ... but as long as I am out of school on winter holidays, I intend to *stay* ahead.

Thanks, but ... it is simply what Lantis, the others, and I must be (determined) in order to bring this game out to as full a potential as can be possible with RPGMaker 1.

... And now, if you will excuse me, I must begin packing some things to leave town for a while .... (Thank the Lord I am not female, so this will only take twenty or thirty minutes :lol ).

Heh, good thing I keep a document of all the switches. If I attempted to commit them to memory, I would have long forgot what was used when.

But yeah, I'm looking forward to getting some work done. I haven't touched it in a long time. I've spent most the time working on the offline web site and junk.

Anyway, I'm glad to start pushing the Arc Arath closer to completion.

Yes this is a late post....about 2 months late....but meh.

Not so fond of the Elliot. Unless it's a dragon who was once a person, it works, but it sounds too..."humanly" for a mystical beast. Get what I'm saying?

Bluebane is great though. You could just drop the Elliot and go with "Bluebane".

New update.

We got some serious work done this weekend. We finished the current dungeon as well as a pretty freaking long scene too. Our over all game completion is now at 60%. Before too long, we will be done with scenario 8. We've already begun some data on 9 as well.

I'll be keeping up the pace as SK is a good deal ahead of me in text...

Okay... I have to post this so I can't back down later.

I've been thinking about those TAKE videos alot lately. And I've come to believe that if he can do it, so can I.

I'm going to attempt a custom screen or two.

Here's the concept:

In the game, we have a reason to have 8 playable characters with us. They will spit into 2 groups of 4. The dungeon will be somewhat like the final area in FFVI in the sense that you need to hit buttons to allow the opposite party to procceed.

At the end of said dungeon, you will run into a boss... or more like a group of them. 5 to be exact. (there will be two fights, on aginst 3 and another aginst the last 2)

What I want to do is make a custom screen of all 8 people. And let you select the the first 4 people you want to use to fight, and go through the first fight. After that fight, go back to the custom menu and gray out the people you already used and let you select the order for that last 4.

I want to have the 8 people standing in a circle in the middle of the screen and you use the left and right arrows of the D-pad to scroll through the circle.

I've done alot of switch work on paper, and I still have alot more to do... but it's going to be a while before I get there.

Seeing as I'm only putting Arc Arath up for RPG Maker Magazine, I'm going to put the RPGMag logo and message 2 text within the intro...

Aslo, SK has gone over alot of the game that has already been made and has done alot of tweaking... He's spent alot of hours spanning into the morning on this.

And I've been doing alot of switch modding for the custom menu... of which will be quite a ways down the road anyway. But I plan to get alot of work done this weekend... I'm hoping to get close to, or around 65%... if possible.

Well, we've got alot of work done over the course of the week. And SK is planning on taking a break.

The only think is, after that... it's back to college for him. So, fair warning... production is probably going to drop significanlty. I would try to go ahead, but that has caused conflicts before.

We still plan on keeping the deadline, and we will keep you posted.
