Ack, i just flunked in Math today AGAIN.Last time i've also flunked but good thing there's remedials.I'm actually a straight A student, but because of Math it's ruining my perfect record.You don't actually use quite a lot of Math on jobs right, right, RIGHT!?The only thing i'm good at is multiplying, and a little algebra, but still...
Anyone here also hates this subject or wanna share a story~I'm willing to hear it out ^^!

yeah... computer stuffs <__< i also happen to love math on general principle... trig proofs baby

but i guess if you worked at mcdonalds flipping burgers you wouldn't use much math except for counting hours and pay roll if you are a manager or something.

All honesty, the only time I'm really using math is when I'm writing code. Everything else is pretty much computer jargon... ya know, on the networking and pc building/repairing side.

a lot of computer stuff doesn't really use math so much as mathematical logic i guess.. it's still important to learn, if for nothing else but to keep your brain moving. it uses different parts of the brain than the other subjects.

*shrug* i barely passed elementary logic in my first year at uni.

i intend to get a job involving as little maths as possible. for some reason, i've never been able to look at an equation and get anything out of it?

there are jobs without more than basic maths. Don't worry about it.

I work with fixing furnaces and making ductwork. No math, right? Big WRONG.

Gotta use it everyday. You just have to try hard to understand it.

I use Trig almost everyday, its so much easier.

I dropped out of school half way through introductory algebra, so I'm fairly useless with advanced mathematics.
When I got into physics I taught myself a fair bit of math, but I'm still not what could be called 'proficient'.

Meh I have to take physics next qaurter, hopefully I'll understand it.

Almost anything that has to do with construction or computers requires a good knowledge of math and algebra. That is why I always get straght A's in math! (I plan on getting a degree in Computer Programming.)

Thats not neccessarily true. Before I went to college my math skills were f*cked from my school system. Before I went into that high school I could do fractions and other stuff, when I came out I didn't know how to solve the easiest fraction.

Well, i know i'm bad at math, but i don't know why but i'm pretty good at physcics.You use a little bit of math there but i do understand the whole process and there are theories too that's easy to memorize.Is math and physics different in any way?>.<

physics applys math to real life more than math does, when you get into higher level physics there is LOTS of math involved to calculate speeds and distances and gravity and all that junk.

That why I love college so much
