Well I also think flaunting your mod power for no real reason is a bit out of hand as well. Since this is the offtopic thread, people are allowed to be offtopic, and there are no rules as to how offtopic one can be (within the rules of the boards of course). So just locking a topic to prove you can is the equivalent of abuse of power I think.

I know it was fun and games in this instance, but what kind of image does this send to new comers when the mods play around like that. Maybe I'm a bit of a purist but I think mod powers should only be used when they are necessitated. Yeah it is a bit silly to talk so literally about just a message board, but it does reflect on the boards as a whole I would think.

I can agree with that.. However I will stand by this. If I had to pick between a locked thread or a ban warning. I think I will take the locked thread. Regal was kinda getting on Chrssy's last nerve. Sorry, it would be easyer if this place had a jury.

Actually my qualm was with closing threads for fun, as it reflects poorly on management in my opinion. It would be like banning someone just because you felt like it, and is an abuse of power. So the only problem I had is that a thread was locked for essentially no reason. While I realize this inconvienced no one really, and was probably done on a time when no one was on, just don't want to see a habit of arbitrary moderation.

So I'm done as I've said my piece. Woo hoo page 250.
